  • Publication number: 20040264945
Abstract: In a configuration where a circuit board is divided into a digital circuit board and a power supply circuit board arranged at respective sides of an optical disk loader, the level of unwanted emission is reduced significantly by modifying the division of grounding patterns of the digital circuit board, and arranging a filter on the digital circuit board adjacent to connectors. Accordingly, a metal case is dispensable, and a resin case can be employed. Therefore, the cost of a DVD apparatus can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 6690877
Abstract: In a magnetic tape recording apparatus for recording an FM luminance signal and a low frequency converted chrominance onto tracks of a magnetic tape, both of a frequency of the FM luminance signal and a spectrum distribution of the low frequency converted chrominance are shifted by fH/2 between two of the tracks corresponding to the first field and the second field of one frame of a recorded image when a horizontal scanning frequency is presumed as fH. The frequency of the FM luminance signal is shifted by fw/4 between two of the tracks corresponding to the second field of one frame and the first field of the subsequent frame.

  • Patent number: 6687452
Abstract: A magnetic recording device provided with a frequency modulation circuit, a filter circuit, and a frequency conversion circuit. The frequency modulation circuit generates a modified FM luminance signal the frequency of a carrier wave of which is higher than that of an FM luminance signal and the relationship between the frequency of a sink chip and the frequency of a white peak of which is equal to the relationship between the frequency fs and the frequency fw of the FM luminance signal when the minimum frequency of the frequency band of the FM luminance signal is the frequency fa. The filter circuit removes a signal component lower than a cut-off frequency of signal components included in the modified FM luminance signal when a frequency. lower than the minimum frequency of the band of the modified FM luminance signal by a frequency acquired by doubling the frequency fa is the cut-off frequency.

  • Patent number: 6683742
Abstract: A magnetic tape drive has a brake mechanism section which can transfer the state of a reel table from a non-brake state to a brake state by using an electric power that remains after a start of a power failure of a commercial power source. The drive further has a first power failure detecting section which, when a power failure of the commercial power source is detected, transmits a first power failure detection signal; and a controlling section which, when the first power failure detection signal is transmitted in a fast-forwarding state or a rewinding state, transfers the non-brake state of the brake mechanism section to the brake state.
