  • Patent number: 8333504
Abstract: A timepiece has a valve that discharges gas from an exterior assembly and includes a casing, a valve member that moves from a closed position to an open position in accordance with an inner pressure of the assembly, an exhaust button movable into the casing, a first spring urging the button and valve member away from each other, and a second spring urging the button toward the exterior of the assembly. When an inner pressure of the assembly is greater than a force of the first spring, the valve member is moved to the open position and a portion of the gas accumulates between the valve member and the button. When the button is moved into the casing, the accumulated gas is discharged to the exterior of the assembly by which the valve member is maintained at the closed position by the spring force of the first spring.

  • Patent number: 7942574
Abstract: A portable watch is equipped with a watch exterior member, a crown, a crown lock button, and an urging member. In a case band with which the exterior member is equipped, there are formed a crown mounting hole and a member mounting portion communicating with this hole and vertically perpendicular thereto. The crown is arranged in the hole. The crown has a crown shaft portion passed through the hole and a crown head portion continuous therewith. The crown shaft is provided with a lock groove continuous in the peripheral direction. The lock button accommodated in the mounting portion has a button head portion (operation end portion) protruding from the mounting portion. The button is movable between a lock position where it is engaged with the groove to constrain the crown and a lock canceling position where it is detached from the groove to cancel the constraint of the crown, and is arranged at the lock canceling position through a one-touch operation of the button head portion.

  • Publication number: 20110051572
Abstract: There is provided a wristwatch 1 in which a degassing valve with an exhaust button is attached to a timepiece exterior assembly, and in which the gas in the exterior assembly is allowed to escape to the exterior through pushing-in of the button. The valve is equipped with a valve casing providing communication between the interior and exterior of the exterior assembly, a valve member accommodated in the valve casing and moved from a closed position to an open position when the interior of the exterior assembly is not less than a predetermined pressure, the button accommodated in the valve casing so as to allow pushing-in, a first coil spring urging the button and the valve member away from each other, and a second coil spring urging the button toward the exterior of the exterior assembly.

  • Patent number: 7744272
Abstract: A portable apparatus has a push button mounted on a casing for operating a contact inside the casing. The push button is axially slidable in a pipe fixed in a through-hole extending through the casing. A coil spring encircles the pipe and is interposed between a flange of the pipe and a head of the push button to urge the push button outwardly. A packing ring for sealing the space between the pipe and push button is attached to either the pipe or the push button in the region where the coil spring encircles the pipe. Since the coil spring overlaps the packing ring, the axial length of the pipe and push button can be shortened to reduce the size of the casing.

  • Patent number: 7507018
Abstract: To provide a wristwatch in which an attachment/detachment operation of an end piece of a band in regard to bow feet of a case band is easy. A concave part is formed in a back face of an end piece of a band and, under a state in which the piece is received in a bow crotch between adjoining bow feet, through-holes facing on attachment holes of the bow feet are respectively provided in side walls of the piece. The rotation member is rotatably held in the concave part. From one end to the other end, one pair of cam holes of shapes in which distances in regard to a center of a rotation member become gradually small are point-symmetrically provided in the rotation member, and a rotation operation groove is provided between these cam holes. Connection end parts of one pair of connection members forming L-shapes are passed through the through-holes, and cam follower end parts of the connection members are inserted into the cam holes.

  • Patent number: 7490979
Abstract: To provide a timepiece in which a position alignment of a bezel is easy, and a position-aligned bezel can be made so as not to be carelessly rotated. A portable timepiece possesses a case band, an annular bezel, a click member, a coil spring, and a lock member. In the case band, there are provided an annular bezel disposition groove opening upward and to an outer periphery face, and an accommodation hole extending in a vertical direction while opening to a bottom face of this groove. Bezel is disposed, while being fitted to the disposition groove, so as to be rotatable in both directions of a clockwise direction and a counterclockwise direction in regard to the case band. A click member engaging with and disengaging from an engagement part comprising plural irregularities juxtaposed in a rotation direction in a back face of the bezel facing on the bottom face is accommodated in the accommodation hole so as to be vertically movable.
