  • Patent number: 7055811
Abstract: A vibration isolating device has a reduced dynamic spring constant in the fore-and-aft direction of a vehicle and can reduce effectively indoor noise upon acceleration and running at high speed. The device has a cylindrical main body fitting to be fixed to a vehicle body side, a boss fitting to be coupled to a vibration generator side, a rubber elastomer as a vibration isolator interposed between both, front and rear stopper rubber portions attached to a coupling member secured to an upside of the boss fitting, and a stopper member disposed in front of and in the rear of the stopper rubber portions and to be fixed to a vehicle body side. A small cavity is provided in at least one of the front and rear stopper rubber portions.

  • Publication number: 20060071380
Abstract: In order to provide a vibration-isolating device having a stopper mechanism to an excessive displacement of a vibration-isolating base in upward and horizontal directions with a light weight and a low cost, an inner cylinder and an attachment member with an opening surrounding it are connected by a rubber-like elastomer, a cylindrical portion is extended downwardly from the opening to form a stopper rubber between the cylindrical portion and the inner cylinder, while ensuring a clearance gap thereby providing a first stopper part limiting a horizontal displacement of the inner cylinder; and an extension portion extending from a lower end of the inner cylinder outwardly is provided to form a stopper rubber between the extension portion and a lower end of the cylindrical portion while ensuring a clearance gap thereby providing a second stopper part limiting an upward displacement of the inner cylinder.

  • Patent number: 6622994
Abstract: A partition member having a rubber elastic membrane of a liquid filled vibration isolating device is provided. A ring-shaped metal fitting is formed by superimposing a first ring-shaped metal fitting on a second ring-shaped metal fitting. The first metal fitting and the second metal fitting are formed by press molding and are bonded integrally by means of the rubber elastic membrane thereby closing the opening of the ring-shaped metal fitting. Accordingly, the ring-shaped metal fitting of a complex configuration providing an orifice groove for forming the orifice is easily manufactured by simple working.

  • Patent number: 6585222
Abstract: In a vibration isolator wherein an inner and an outer cylindrical fittings are connected by a rubber elastomer between both fittings; in the rubber elastomer above and below the inner cylindrical fitting, hollow spaces are formed circumferentially in a larger width, in a cross-section square to the axial direction, than an outside diameter of the inner cylindrical fitting; and lateral portions as support arms of the rubber elastomer between the hollow spaces support the inner cylindrical fitting to the outer cylindrical fitting, in order to lower the dynamic spring rate in the lateral direction square to the axial direction and facilitate the tuning of rigidity, without changing the vibration-isolating characteristics in the vertical direction and without deteriorating the durability, small vacancies are provided in the lateral portions at a distant position inboard from the outer cylindrical fitting.

  • Patent number: 6543756
Abstract: An engine mount to be installed above an opening of a vehicle body member to support the engine in vibration-proof fashion, on which the intrusion of foreign matter from the opening can be precluded without increase in components. It comprises a cylindrical main body fitting, an upper fitting, a vibration-insulating base of rubber elastomer interconnecting both fittings, a diaphragm disposed within the main body fitting to face to the base, and a liquid-sealed chamber partly enclosed by the diaphragm, the diaphragm being integrally provided at its lower circumferential end with a cylindrical rubber extension. The rubber extension extends downwardly from the diaphragm, lower edge thereof being turned-up to come in contact with a peripheral edge portion around the opening thereby to close the opening.
