  • Patent number: 7507389
Abstract: A hydrophobic fumed silica treated with a cyclic dimethylsiloxane, the hydrophobic fumed silica having an M-value representing an oleophilic degree in a range of 48 to 65, a tapping bulk density of not smaller than 80 g/L but not larger than 130 g/L, and an n-value representing the dispersion of 3.0 to 3.5 as measured in toluene. The hydrophobic fumed silica features a high bulk density while exhibiting a high hydrophobic property, the powder thereof capable of being favorably handled, being easily mixed in a matrix such as of a resin within short periods of time, and, further, being dispersed in the matrix to a high degree.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: April 30, 2004
Date of Patent: March 24, 2009
    Assignee: Tokuyama Corporation
Inventors: Yoshio Mitani, Katsumi Nagase, Atsushi Takamuku

  • Patent number: 5156498
Abstract: A method for controlling a moisture content of a silica powder, which comprises contacting a fluid-flowing silica powder with a steam in a vessel, for example, a pipeline for transportation by air that connects a hopper for storing of a silica powder and a solid-gas separator, held at a temperature lower than a condensation temperature of the steam.

  • Patent number: 5059087
Abstract: A bobbin conveying system includes an automatic travelling car for conveyance of spinning and empty bobbins, a station for carrying out a spinning bobbin to the automatic travelling car and carrying in an empty bobbin from the car, and a station for carrying in a spinning bobbin from the automatic travelling car and carrying out an empty bobbin to the car, the spinning and empty bobbins carrying-in and -out operations being performed simultaneously at both the stations.

  • Patent number: 4526502
Abstract: An apparatus for positioning a slide fork provided on a stacker crane is provided wherein the slide fork is movable on the crane and can be positioned relative to a load rack, independently of the crane, and also fixed to a definite position on the crane. According to the apparatus, since the slide fork is directly positioned, the precision of the positioning is improved, substantially.

  • Patent number: 4355581
Abstract: A truck driving apparatus for driving a truck on rails presses a rotating board, with a rotating shaft fitted to the truck, against a driving shaft arranged along the pathway of the truck, and transmits the rotational force of the driving shaft to the rotating shaft of the truck. The rotating board is so constructed as to have a ring like friction disc with a friction face thereon fixed to the rotating shaft, to intersect the rotation axis of the rotating shaft at right angles. The rotation axis of the rotating shaft is inclined at a certain small angle relative to the plane intersecting the axis of the drive shaft, at right angles.
