  • Patent number: 6539188
Abstract: A liquid type development device for developing an electrostatic latent image formed on image-holding equipment by using liquid developer made of a highly insulating solvent and toner particles dispersed in the solvent has a liquid developer tank detachably situated in a cartridge; and at least one supplementary liquid tank containing supplementary liquid to be added to liquid developer contained in the liquid developer tank so as to keep the concentration of nonvolatile components in the liquid developer constant. Further, when the used development cartridge is recovered, and another new development cartridge is bought, a discount price privilege for the newly bought development cartridge is given to a user who has turned in the used cartridge.

  • Publication number: 20020025201
Abstract: In order to provide an electrophotographic image forming system characterized by a mechanism of stabilizing the behavior of the tip of the form when the form with unfused colored particles (toner) deposited thereon is fed to the fusing device, the present invention has a form posture correcting protrusion provided on the non-printing area of the surface of the form with unfused colored particles (toner) deposited thereon inside the feed path of the form with unfused colored particles (toner) deposited thereon, so that form behavior can be controlled when the form is fed to the fusing device. Furthermore, the present invention has a form guide provided on the form ejection side of the fusing device to control the behavior of the form moving in the direction of being wound on the fusing roller.

  • Patent number: 6330425
Abstract: A double-surface printing apparatus, which is small-sized and has a simple construction to make it impossible to take out a sheet, of which one surface has been subjected to printing, from outside. The apparatus includes a paper discharge tray, to which sheets having been subjected to printing are discharged; a sheet reversing mechanism including a reversal/temporary storage unit for guiding a sheet in a direction different from a discharge direction toward the paper discharge tray, once exposing the sheet outside of the apparatus, and rotating conveying rollers in an opposite direction to thereby reverse the sheet; and a protective cover, which covers the sheet conveyed to the reversal/temporary storage unit so that a sheet, of which one-surface has been subjected to printing, cannot be taken out from outside.

  • Patent number: 4846779
Abstract: Apparatus for manufacturing a trapezoidally-shaped paper bag comprises a cutting and processing device to form a continuous line of blanks in a paper strip, left and right guide rail units for raising up the side flaps of successive blanks, left and right folding ruler members arranged in an inverted V in the direction of advance of the paper strip, a base rod for causing forward and backward reciprocating movement of the left and right ruler members on the upper surface of the blank being processed between the guide rail units, and inwardly and outwardly reciprocating left and right sliding plates for folding up the side folding flaps of the blank by moving inwardly over the left and right ruler members, respectively, in an overlapping relation.

  • Patent number: 4735299
Abstract: Several embodiments of one-way clutches employing an improved, light weight and easily formed construction. In each embodiment, the one-way clutch is comprised of an outer member that defines recesses that receive wedging members and an inner member. The outer and inner members are adapted to be rotatably coupled together by the wedging members and for this purpose spring means are provided for urging the wedging members into engagement with the inner and outer member surfaces. In each embodiment, the recesses open through one side of the outer member so as to facilitate insertion of the wedging members and the biasing means and then are closed by a retainer plate. Several embodiments of light weight formed springs are employed for acting as the biasing means and, in some embodiments, the outer member is formed of a composite construction.

  • Patent number: 4121223
Abstract: Ink jet recording apparatus has an ink sensor which detects charges on charged ink droplets emitted from a nozzle of the ink jet recording apparatus and emits electric signals for controlling the above apparatus. The ink sensor comprises a pair of induction plates disposed with a separation distance, and a pair of grounded plates each of which is mounted on each of the induction plates through an electric insulator. The sensor is disposed such that flying paths of the ink particles to be detected are between the pair of induction plates. In the induction plates, current is induced at every time when each of the charged ink droplets pass between the pair of induction plates thereby providing electric signals for controlling.

  • Patent number: 4074279
Abstract: In the case of writing information on a writing medium, such as the crown cap of a bottle, by the use of an ink drop writing apparatus, the information cannot be written at one selected position because the height of the writing medium varies with the height of the bottle and due to other factors. In emitting and deflecting charged ink drops to effect a writing on a writing medium whose position may vary somewhat, this invention detects the position of the writing medium in the deflecting direction of the charged ink drops with photoelectric means and increases or decreases the amount of deflection of the ink drops in accordance with the detected position of the writing medium. It is, accordingly, possible to write the desired information at precisely the correct position on the writing medium at all times.
