  • Patent number: 7890467
Abstract: A technology for verifying backup data capable of synchronizing timings of checksum calculation and verifying data consistency regardless of the storing position of the data is provided. In a backup system using a data update log, a checksum of data of a backup source and a checksum of backup data are checked, thereby verifying data consistency. Data check log generation means and the like are provided so that the data update log and the data check log are transmitted in order to a secondary site. By this means, the timings of the checksum calculation are synchronized. Further, by providing data area extraction means and the like, the verification of data consistency can be performed regardless of the storing position of the data.

  • Patent number: 7869914
Abstract: Image data (44) assigned to a specific language is included in a second data file (28) at a specific position. A first data file includes a position information data specifying the position of the image data. A processing unit obtains the image data assigned to the specific language based on the position information data in the first data file. An image is displayed on the screen based on the obtained image data (44). The language is set in the first data file for generation of the image. A change of the position information data in the first data file enables a facilitated change of language included in the display image data.

  • Patent number: 7860824
Abstract: In a DR system, from the viewpoint of device cost, when search is not carried out, a physical application where log recovery is available by inexpensive DB appliance server is adopted. Further, a local mirror operation at a secondary site is not carried out. Furthermore, from the viewpoint of operation, by a log apply function unit, the tendencies of a log application and operations are monitored, and a search process is accepted according to the progress conditions of the log application. When the log application does not catch up sufficiently, the search is not accepted. Moreover, when a consistency guarantee of a secondary DB is made, not transactions in process at the moment of search instruction are undone (rolled back), but only transactions in process at the moment of a search instruction are redone (rolled forward).

  • Publication number: 20100142084
Abstract: To avoid the occurrence of a recording error by suppressing the influence that a magneto-static interaction acting between the pattern dots exerts on a recording process and expand a margin for recording synchronization timing lag or tracking misregistration on the pattern dot. Each pattern dot has a structure in which a plurality of parts having different magnetization reversal fields are bonded with exchange interaction in the in-plane direction of a medium, substrate. The positional relationship between the parts having different magnetization reversal Fields is substantially coincident between the adjacent pattern dots, which are arranged to have a gradient of magnetization reversal field in a track direction or track transverse direction. Further, the recording is performed by adapting a gradient of recording magnetic field to the gradient of magnetization reversal field. Other methods and systems are described as well.

  • Publication number: 20100033865
Abstract: One purpose of the invention according to one embodiment is to provide a magnetic recording apparatus of high recording density in which magnetization transition curvature amount of a recording pattern is small. In one embodiment, the center of a heating area is arranged at a track edge side of a recording pattern as compared with the width-direction center position of a main magnetic pole of a recording head, and a recording magnetic field is applied while a medium is locally heated at the time of signal recording. A switching magnetic field of the medium is locally reduced by heating, so that a line where the switching magnetic field of the medium is equal to the recording magnetic field from the head approaches the heating center position, and a desired recording pattern in which the transition curvature amount is reduced can be realized. Other systems and methods are also presented.
