  • Patent number: 4560423
Abstract: The present invention relates to a process for producing a non-oriented silicon steel sheet having a low watt loss and an improved magnetic flux density. Generally, increasing the content of silicon and aluminum in a steel reduces the watt loss of the final product but deteriorates the magnetic flux density. Also, increasing the finishing temperature of a steel sheet or to increase the size of the crystal grains of the final product reduces the watt loss of the final product but also decreases the magnetic flux density. In accordance with the present invention, a grade S7 or grade S8 non-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet exhibiting such excellent magnetic properties at a high magnetic field that the magnetic flux density B.sub.50 is 1.67 tesla or more, the watt loss W.sub.15/50 is 2.70 W/kg or less (0.50 mm thick), and the watt loss W.sub.15/50 is 2.20 W/kg or less (0.35 mm thick) is produced by subjecting a high aluminum electromagnetic steel containing not less than 2.5% silicon and not less than 1.

  • Patent number: 4543134
Abstract: The present invention provides an annealing separator comprising from 0.05 to 2.0 parts by weight of antimony sulfate based on 100 parts by weight of magnesium oxide, and at least one chloride selected from the group consisting of Sb, Sr, Ti, and Zr chlorides in a chlorine amount of from 5 to 20% by weight based on 100% of the chloride and antimony sulfate, and occasionally comprises Ti oxide in an amount of from 0.5 to 10 parts. The annealing separator is applied on the decarburization annealed strip, and improves both the magnetic properties and properties of glass film, in the production of a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet.

  • Patent number: 4288492
Abstract: A coating composition including inorganic compounds dispersed in an organic material capable upon exposure to UV rays or electron beams of producing an adherent insulating film of high dielectric properties on the surfaces of electro-sheets of ferrous material. The coated electro-sheets are annealed after the forming, for example, cutting or punching operation in order to remove thereby imparted stresses without impairing the dielectric properties.

  • Patent number: 4287006
Abstract: An annealing separator useful for producing a grain oriented silicon steel strip having an excellent magnetic property, comprises non-hydrating magnesium oxide which has been calcined at a temperature of 1300.degree. C. or more, preferably, from 1300.degree. to 2100.degree. C., and which is in the form of fine particles, 70% by weight of which have a size of 5 microns or less, and optionally, magnesium hydroxide in an amount of 1 to 100% based on the weight of the magnesium oxide and/or an aluminium compound in an amount of 0.05 to 10% based on the weight of the magnesium oxide.
