    Abstract: A system for detecting an outbreak of fire, for giving an audible alarm therefore as well as provided with a tactile alarm for disabled persons. This system comprises a main body to be attached to the ceiling, the wall and other structures, and a switch box to be provided at a position apart from the main body. The main body includes a fire sensing element for sensing an outbreak of fire, and an alarm to make an alarm sound based on a detection signal of the fire sensing element. The switch box includes a control switch capable of directly actuating the alarm. The switch box is further provided with a vibrating-type buzzer for vibrating the switch box so that a deaf or disabled person will be able to confirm the actuation of the alarm when it is actuated.

    Abstract: A fire alarm device has, in a main body, a fire detection means and alarm means controllable by a detection signal from the fire detection means. The fire alarm device, which being independent in itself is installed on a ceiling or wall where the fire can be easily detected and produces an acoustic alarm as soon as the fire is detected. The detection element of the fire detection means is provided in front of a speaker for producing the acoustic alarm. Since the heat due to the fire is concentrated in front of the speaker, the detection element can react quickly.

    Abstract: A chain latch for door comprising a chain which is set hanging between a door and a door-frame and limits the opening of the door for preventing wrongdoers from intrusion. One end of the chain is fixed to the door-frame, while to the other end of the chain is joined a locking member having an elongated slot. A retainer member carrying a hook which is hung with the locking member is fixed to the door, the hook having a neck portion engaging with the elongated slot of the locking member and a head portion formed into T-shape at the end of the neck portion for preventing the elongated slot of the locking member from getting out of the neck portion. When the door is in its closed position, a person on the inside can pass the elongated slot over the head portion for engaging the locking member with the neck portion of the hook or putting the former out of the latter.
