  • Patent number: 5095789
Abstract: A multi spindle automatic lathe comprising a single motor (20) for rotating a plurality of spindles (55) which are freely rotatably supported on a spindle carrier (52) which is in turn supported on a headstock (51) for an indexing rotation so as to prevent a mutual spatial interference occuring between said motor (20) and an elongated member (W) during the processing of such elongated member (W), wherein said spindle carrier (52) has its rotary shaft arranged so as to be a common axis with the output shaft (21) of said motor (20), and wherein the lathe further comprises a means (56), (57) for transmitting the rotary output power of said motor (20) to each of said plurality of spindles, and through-holes (37) defined in the stator portion (29) of said motor (20) so as to be on a common axis with central holes of said plurality of spindles (55).

  • Patent number: 4827143
Abstract: A monitor for particles of various materials which counts the number of the particles on real-time and in situ basis. The monitor comprises a unit for illuminating an object to be inspected with an illumination light beam of a predetermined cross-sectional area, a unit for detecting a change in optical mode of the illumination light beam caused by the particles being contained in the inspected object and illuminated with the illumination light beam, the illuminating and detecting units being of a unitary structure, and a unit for counting an amount of the particles contained in the inspected object by using a change in intensity of an optically mode changed light beam.

  • Patent number: 4682845
Abstract: In an apparatus for transmitting an optical image using an image guide which is equipped with dispersive devices, the invention has an advantage such that dispersive devices which are arranged in an objective lens system and an ocular lens system are attached by being rotated by only a constant angle in the same direction around their respective optical axes as rotational centers with respect to each of an edge surface and rear edge surface of the image guide.
