    Abstract: There is provided an injection apparatus comprised of a heating cylinder which is closed by a front end member having a nozzle. The apparatus is further comprised of a plasticating screw in the heating cylinder in a freely rotating and reciprocating manner, and a plunger connected to the front end of the screw. The plunger has a conical front end in which flow channels are formed. The front end member has a measuring chamber formed therein at an internal central location thereof. The measuring chamber has a predetermined length and an internal diameter which is reduced by 8 to 15% with respect to an internal diameter of the heating cylinder. The diameter of the injection plunger is set almost equal to the diameter of the measuring chamber, whereby the injection plunger is inserted into the measuring chamber in a freely reciprocating manner.

    Abstract: In a method for controlling an injection molding machine, a screw is advanced from an injection start position by means of velocity control, and when the screw reaches a control changeover point, pressure control is effected in place of the velocity control to apply pressure to the screw. Preliminary molding is performed to obtain an acceptable product; a total charged amount of resin during the preliminary mold is obtained on the basis of a movement distance over which the screw has moved before reaching the control changeover point during the preliminary mold; and the total charged amount is stored as a changeover target value. During ordinary molding, a total charged amount of resin is obtained on the basis of a movement distance over which the screw advances from the injection start position; and pressure control is started when the total charged amount reaches the changeover target value.

    Abstract: An injection screw comprise a rear end to a front end of an effective length of the screw compartmented in the order of a feed zone, a compression zone and a metering zone, wherein the metering zone is constituted by the first metering zone, the second metering zone and the relaxation zone. A root diameter of the second metering zone is formed in a smaller diameter than a root diameter of the first metering zone and a screw channel depth is set deeper than a screw channel depth of the first metering zone. Variations in a resin temperature at injecting is solved and melting and kneading through a entire screw further are improved by only partial changing of the configuration of the metering zone.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for injection-molding a molten resin wherein any flaw such as warpage, shrinkage or the like does not occur in products having a small thickness when the desired product of injection molded resin is molded by injecting the molten resin into a cavity of an injection molding die. The molten resin is injected into the cavity under proper control with respect to injection speed and pressure, the pressure of the molten resin being temporarily set and reduced to a preset reference value when the cavity is filled with the molten resin, and subsequently, the pressure of the molten resin filled in the cavity is released.
