  • Patent number: 7788596
Abstract: When a viewer resizes an image window while displaying image data distributed from a server on the image window of a client terminal, the client terminal notifies the server of the size of the image window after resizing. The server resizes the image data so that an image has the same size as that of the window, and transmits the resized image data to the client terminal. In this way, the need for the resizing processing in the client terminal can be obviated, thus reducing its load.

  • Patent number: 7302428
Abstract: In a system for recording scenario and material files into a storage unit and reproducing the material files based on the scenario file, an information processing method capable of easily and surely preventing that the unnecessary material files are accumulated in the storage unit is provided. When the scenario file recorded in a hard disk is deleted, the unnecessary material files in this hard disk are automatically deleted. Namely, in the hard disk, the scenario file to be deleted and the scenario file to be remained are compared with each other, and the material files which are used in the scenario file to be deleted and from which the material files used in the remaining scenario file are excluded are deleted.

  • Patent number: 6195498
Abstract: There is provided an apparatus in which scenario data indicative of a reproducing procedure of image data is reproduced and when the image data is reproduced on the basis of the reproduced scenario data, the contents of the reproduced scenario data are changed, and the images are reproduced on the basis of the scenario data whose contents were changed, so that a special reproduction such as a fast forward reproduction or the like can be performed. An image reproducing apparatus in which the whole reproduction images based on the scenario data can be easily recognized and a use efficiency is good is provided.

  • Patent number: 5657399
Abstract: In an encoder/decoder, a quantizer quantizes input image information, and a coefficient generator generates coefficient information for determining quantization steps of the quantizer. An encoder variable length encodes the quantized image information, and a divider divides the quantized image information into a plurality of blocks. The coefficient information is attached to each of the plurality of blocks for transmission to a decoder.

  • Patent number: 5047854
Abstract: An image information transmission system that transmits image information, one frame of which is constituted by a plurality of image data. The plurality of pixel data corresponding to the one-frame image information is divided into a plurality of pixel blocks using a predetermined number of pixel data as a unit pixel block. Maximum and minimum values of pixel data within each pixel block are detected in units of divided pixel blocks. Maximum value data representing the detected maximum value and minimum value data representing a detected minimum value are output. One of the different quantization characteristics is selected in accordance with a difference between the maximum and minimum values of each pixel blocks output as described above. A level region between the maximum and minimum values is quantized to obtain a plurality of regions on the basis of the selected quantization characteristic.

  • Patent number: 4982286
Abstract: A video signal processing device includes first access circuitry for writing a video signal in a memory capable of storing a video signal of at least two picture frames, and second access circuitry for reading the video signal from the memory. Comparision circuitry then compares a first address accessed by the first access circuitry with a second address accessed by the second access circuitry. The second address is then shifted by the amount of an integer of picture frames in accordance with the result of the comparison either at the moment when the first access circuitry is granted access to the memory or when access of the first access circuitry to the memory is stopped.
