  • Publication number: 20030231960
Abstract: A fan comprising resin blades which prevents the generation of cracks due to stress generated by the concentration of stress during rotation and heat contraction of the material, and which has improved fan durability and cooling performance, is provided.

  • Patent number: 5240373
Abstract: An axial-flow fan to be attached to an output shaft of an internal combustion engine is provided with a circular resistance plate disposed between the fan and the engine housing. The resistance plate extends perpendicularly to a fan driving output shaft of the engine, while surrounding the output shaft. Air flow flowing against the resistance plate is deflected in the radial directions, deviating from the output shaft. This air flow turns back toward the upstream side of the fan, turbulent flow is effectively minimized, and the absorption power of the fan is remarkably reduced.

  • Patent number: 5226783
Abstract: An axial flow fan has each of its fan blades provided with an integrally formed centrifugal element which extends substantially parallel to an imaginary plane containing a central axis of the fan. Some of the air flow passing through the fan collides against the centrifugal elements, which deflect the air in the radial directions. A disk-like air barrier is thus formed around the fan blades, whereby a countercurrent flow and circulation flow are eliminated. The fan efficiency is also improved.

  • Patent number: 5181554
Abstract: A radiator cooling apparatus for an automotive internal combustion engine is provided. The apparatus comprises an air suction duct or air injection duct connected to a closed-type blower. The suction duct draws ambient air through the core of the radiator and cools the hot water in the core. The injection duct injects ambient air toward the core and cools the hot water in the core. On the active surface of the duct, a plurality of bellmouths or nozzles are formed. The existing fan is removed from the engine, whereby fan noise is eliminated.
