  • Patent number: 6766624
Abstract: A controller in a banding packing machine which can easily correct a shift from the predetermined timing cycle. The controller includes a cam shaft having a plurality of cams, a timing plate which includes a plurality of holes corresponding to rotation positions of the cam shaft, and a detecting means. An inching mode is also disclosed which provides for the manual adjustment of presser members following a step in the rotation of the cam shaft.

  • Patent number: 6637694
Abstract: A brake structure of a band reel in a packing machine in which reliable braking effects can be obtained and responsiveness can be enhanced. A brake arm (15) has a coil spring portion (16) provided on one of its ends and a band passing ring portion (18) provided on the other end is mounted on one of ends of the reel shaft (13). One of ends on the coil spring (16) side in the brake arm (13) is fastened to a fixed member such as a device frame. The diameter of the coil spring portion (16) is reduced to cause the inner peripheral surface of the coil spring portion (16) to closely engage the outer peripheral surface of the reel shaft (13), thereby stopping rotation of the reel shaft by frictional force, when the force for feeding the band is released.

  • Patent number: 6609351
Abstract: A band feed length adjusting device in a packing machine which can newly input, to a control section, a length obtained by manually leading out a band to adjust the feed length of the band and can subsequently feed the band having a correct length in the case in which the size of an object to be packed is changed to be larger.

  • Patent number: 6530194
Abstract: It is an object to provide a banding packing machine capable of easily processing a right presser member, a left presser member and a middle presser member, reducing the number of parts and readily carrying out attachment with high precision. A drum portion of at least a middle presser member (24) provided in a central part in a right presser member (22), a left presser member (23) and the middle presser member (24) has a sectional shape of an almost track including a pair of circular arc portions (26a, 26d) opposed to each other and a pair of straight portions (26c, 26d) opposed to each other, and one of ends of each of drum portions (27, 28) in the right presser member (22) and the left presser member (23) which are opposed to the straight portions (26c, 26d) of the middle presser member (24) is formed rectilinearly.

  • Publication number: 20020056252
Abstract: It is an object to provide a controller in a banding packing machine which can easily set a correct condition when the controller for clamping, returning and tightening a band has a timing shifted from a predetermined timing. A controller in a banding packing machine comprises a cam shaft (22) to be rotated upon receipt of force from a driving source, a plurality of cams (24, 26, 28) provided in the cam shaft (22), a timing plate (45) provided in the cam shaft (22) and having holes (42, 44, 46) formed corresponding to predetermined positions such that a rotation position of the cam shaft (22) can be detected, and detecting means (50) for detecting that the holes (42, 44, 46) formed on the timing plate (45) reach the predetermined positions, wherein an inching mode is provided in which the rotation of the cam shaft (22) is stopped when the detecting means detects the predetermined holes (42, 44, 46) of the timing plate (45).

  • Patent number: 4781110
Abstract: An arch guide for a strapping machine comprises corner sections interconnected by linear sections. Each of those sections includes inner and outer peripheral portions disposed, respectively, closer to and farther from a center of the guide. The inner and outer portions form a guide passage for the band, the passage being open at a side facing a guide plate. The open side of the arch guide is yieldably urged against the guide plate to close the open side. The inner portion extends toward the guide plate at an inwardly directed inclination to facilitate movement of the arch guide away from the guide plate when the band is being withdrawn from the passage. A guide extends from the leading end of a linear section into a trailing end of a corner section for directing an advancing band toward the outer portion of the corner section.
