Patent number: 8647613Abstract: The present invention has an object of providing a drug carrier capable of controlling in vivo pharmacokinetics. The present invention is directed to a drug carrier comprising a molecular assembly having a drug incorporated therein, and the above object can be achieved by a part of the amphiphilic molecules included in the molecular assembly being released from the molecular assembly by an external environmental change. The present invention utilizes a phenomenon that the hydrophilic-hydrophobic balance of the amphiphilic molecules is shifted toward hydrophilicity by an external environmental change and thus the amphiphilic molecules are freed from the molecular assembly.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 2006Date of Patent: February 11, 2014Assignees: JCR Pharmaceuticals Co., Ltd., Waseda UniversityInventors: Shinji Takeoka, Yosuke Okamura, Hideo Kanazawa, Shuji Hisamoto, Kohei Kubota, Yosuke Obata

Patent number: 8241647Abstract: The present invention provides an amphiphilic molecule having a plurality of zwitterionic functional groups in its hydrophilic moiety and a molecular assembly comprising the amphiphilic molecule as a constituent lipid. The molecular assembly of the present invention forms a stable vesicular structure under a physiological pH environment to carry a substance of interest in the vesicular structure, and can release the substance of interest to the outside of the vesicular structure when it is deformed under an acidic pH environment. The molecular assembly of the present invention can be used as a carrier for a drug, a probe, a nucleic acid, a protein or the like.Type: GrantFiled: May 16, 2008Date of Patent: August 14, 2012Assignees: Waseda University, JCR Pharmaceuticals Co. Ltd.Inventors: Shinji Takeoka, Yosuke Obata, Shoji Tajima, Manabu Ito, Atsushi Mizuno, Natsuko Nishiyama, Yoshito Takeuchi

Patent number: 6120716Abstract: An epoxy resin encapsulating material for molding in a semiconductor chip by the use of a transfer molding device. The material has constituents of an epoxy resin, a curing agent, an inorganic filler, and a release agent. The material consists of 99 wt % or more of granules having a diameter of 0.1 to 5.0 mm and 1 wt % or less of minute particles having a diameter of less than 0.1 mm. The mass of the material exhibit an angle of slide of 20 to 40.degree., which demonstrates good flowability free from clogging a passage leading to a mold cavity in the transfer molding device, thereby assuring enhanced encapsulation quality. The material is prepared firstly by kneading the encapsulating composition having the above constituents and by solidifying the composition into a semi-cured solid body of B-stage condition. The sem-cured solid body is then pulverized into pieces having a diameter of 5.0 mm or less. The pieces are composed of granules having a diameter of 0.1 mm to 5.Type: GrantFiled: March 10, 1999Date of Patent: September 19, 2000Assignee: Matsushita Electric Works, Ltd.Inventors: Takanori Kushida, Akio Kobayashi, Yosuke Obata, Hironori Ikeda, Taro Fukui, Masashi Nakamura
