  • Publication number: 20060281147
Abstract: A recombinant thrombin-like enzyme batroxobin expressed by yeast, a production method thereof, and use of the batroxobin as a hemostatic agent or antithrombotic agent is disclosed. In order to express recombinant thrombin-like enzyme, an expression vector is prepared by inserting cDNA encoding the enzyme, the transformed cell is prepared by introducing the expression vector into the cell, the transformed cell then is incubated and the recombinant thrombin-like enzyme is obtained from the cell. The recombinant thrombin-like enzyme may be usefully used as a hemostatic agent because the enzyme effectively decrease bleeding time and blood coagulation time and does not affect various blood coagulation factors.

  • Patent number: 6751537
Abstract: A method for controlling a damper of a vehicle is provided, wherein the vehicle includes a front damper and a rear damper and a damping force of the dampers is controlled by respective data detected by a steering angle sensor, a vehicle speed sensor and a yaw rate sensor. First, steering angle data, vehicle speed data and yaw rate data are inputted in step (a) and a desired yaw rate is calculated in step (b) by using the steering angle data, the vehicle speed data and a specification of the vehicle. Then, the desired yaw rate is compared in step (c) with the yaw rate data provided from the yaw rate sensor. Thereafter, it is determined in step (d) whether the vehicle is over-steered or under-steered depending on the comparison result obtained in the step (C). Finally, the damping force of the damper is controlled in step (e) in response to the determination result in the step (d).

  • Publication number: 20030121737
Abstract: A damper controlling apparatus of a vehicle includes wheel speed sensors, each wheel speed sensor generating a wheel signal indicating an angular velocity of a corresponding wheel of the vehicle, a vertical velocity calculator for obtaining a signal indicating a vertical velocity of a vehicle body by using the wheel signals from the respective wheel speed sensors and a controller for generating a damper controlling signal by using the vertical velocity signal. The controller has a band pass filter for receiving and processing the wheel signals, a low pass filter for receiving and processing a signal provided from the band pass filter and a compensator for compensating a signal provided from the low pass filter to produce the vertical velocity signal.

  • Patent number: 6360856
Abstract: A double-tube shock absorber includes an outer cylinder having a first working chamber, an inner cylinder located inside the first working chamber and having a second working chamber, a first piston movably inserted into the first working chamber and a second piston having a coil and movably inserted into the second working chamber. The first and the second working chamber are filled with a hydraulic fluid and a magnetorheological (MR) fluid, respectively. The first and the second piston have one or more orifices, respectively. The double-tube shock absorber further includes one or more first piston rods for leading the first piston in a reciprocating motion and a second piston rod for leading the second piston in a reciprocating motion. The double-tube shock absorber can sensitively respond to the impulse applied thereto by using the hydraulic fluid having relatively low viscosity and, at the same time, can modulate the damping force by using the MR fluid having changeable viscosity.
