Abstract: An elevator group-supervisory apparatus in which elevator group-supervisory means is fed through read means with elevator status signals, for example, hall call, cage call and direction signals derived from the display equipment of an existing elevator such as a hall call response lamp, cage call response lamp, door opening or closing button and cage position indicating lamp that are standardized irrespective of differences in the date of manufacture and the manufacturer of the existing elevator, and manipulation signals that are the processed results of the group-supervisory means are delivered to the manipulation equipment of the existing elevator so as to control the control circuit of the existing elevator.

Abstract: Standard operating sequences for standard operations set for the service of an elevator are stored in a read only memory unit while special operating sequences for special operations are stored in a random access memory unit. The elevator operating steps are determined in accordance with the standard and special sequences and are modified by an input unit coupled to the random access memory so that modifications of the operating steps in the service of the elevator can be facilitated.

Abstract: The respective status signals of an existing relay type elevator and an electronic elevator are loaded by a group-supervisory computer, together with hall call signals, and operation commands according to which the elevators are to respond to the hall call signals are generated and sent to the existing relay type elevator and the electronic elevator.Consequently, even in a case where one or more elevators in a relay type elevator group in operation has/have been replaced with an electronic elevator or electronic elevators, the service of elevator group supervision is prevented from lowering. Moreover, the group supervision service can be enhanced by increasing the use of an electronic elevator already and combining it with relay type elevators in operation.

Abstract: An elevator control apparatus and stored program system comprises an auxiliary control device together with a main control device in which a control program is stored. In the normal state, the main control device is used whereas in a fault of the main control device, the auxiliary control device is actuated to control an elevator upon detecting the fault.
