  • Patent number: 6830434
Abstract: A cooling fan has a ring-shaped metal spacer, a boss of substantially a cylindrical shape made of a synthetic resin that is molded integrally with the spacer as an insert and lural blades that extend outwardly from the boss. A deep-drawn part is provided on an outer circumferential part of the spacer at an inside of the boss. A thickness of the boss is made large at around a front end side of the blade on which the largest stress is applied. A rib at an inner periphery of the boss at around the front end side of the blade is made thicker than the other ribs. Moreover, an interval between that rib and an adjacent rib is made narrower.

  • Patent number: 5297936
Abstract: A coupling fan includes a fan body, a coupling and a mounting plate. The mounting plate includes a substantially ring-shaped base member and a substantially strip-shaped movable member having spring elasticity. The base member is connected to a boss of the fan body or an operating member of the coupling. The movable member is connected to the base member at its one end, and it is further connected to the boss of the fan body or the operating member of the coupling, to which the base member is not connected, at its another end. With this construction, not only vibrations of the fan body and the coupling are absorbed by the movable member, but also an overall inside diameter of the mounting plate can be made greater. Namely, a coupling having a larger outside diameter can be employed, and accordingly the cooling efficiency of the coupling can be improved. Hence, the coupling fan can be improved in its durability.

  • Patent number: 5144290
Abstract: A portable apparatus comprises a base body having a front portion provided with a keyboard and a rear portion, a display unit having a display, a socket for allowing the display unit to be detachable with the base body and for mechanically rotatably connecting the display unit between the first position where the display unit covers the keyboard and the second position where allows an operation of the keyboard on watching the display, and a part for giving rotational force to the display unit when the display unit is connected to the base body and for forming the rear portion to be flat when the display unit is removed from the base body. The portable apparatus of the present invention allows the front phase of the socket to be set to the position opposing to the socket mount phase when the display unit is removed from the socket, it can avoid the socket to be in the way, and the operability and the portability of the apparatus can be improved.

  • Patent number: 4505611
Abstract: An upholstery fixing device consists of a bracket having a holdfast suspended therefrom with bendable or flexible straps. In use the bracket is riveted to the back of a trim board, and the holdfast is pushed into an associated aperture of an inside panel of a car door. Then, the bendable straps can be yieldingly bent to automatically reduce any misalignment between a fixed bracket (and hence its holdfast) and an associated aperture of the inside panel of the car door, thus facilitating the fixing of the upholstery to the inside panel of the car door in exact registration.
