    Abstract: In one example embodiment, a card payment system includes a card payment apparatus, having an audio jack, configured to: read account information stored on a payment card, encode a counter value of the card payment apparatus into a onetime password, transmit the account information and onetime password via a microphone contact of the audio jack, and receive an acoustic signal via at least one earphone contact of the audio jack; and a client device, having an audio jack socket to receive the audio jack, configured to: receive the account information and onetime password via the microphone contact, transmit, to the card payment apparatus, the acoustic signal via the at least one earphone contact, decode the onetime password into the counter value, and authenticate the card payment apparatus based on the counter value of the card payment apparatus and a counter value of the client device.

    Abstract: The disclosure is related to providing a payment processing service and a near field communication (NFC) tag processing service through the single smart card. The smart card may store identification (ID) information of one of a payment card and a NFC tag at a first memory sector and store associated information for providing a related service as the payment card and the NFC tag at predetermined memory sectors. The smart card may be also implemented with a NFC tag applet providing the ID information and the associated information as the NFC tag to the user terminal. The smart card may be recognized as the NFC tag while storing the ID information for the payment card at the first memory sector in the memory or as the payment card while storing the ID information for the NFC tag at the first memory sector in the memory.

In one embodiment, the mobile communication terminal includes 1) a font encoder configured to encode a font design into font data and to encode a message text into message data so as to generate combined message data which comprises the font data and message data and 2) a font decoder configured to i) separate the font data and the message data from the combined message data, and ii) reconstruct and output a message, comprising the font design, based at least in part on the separated font data and the message data. According to one embodiment, by including the font data and message data in the transmission, the receiving mobile communication terminal can display the same font design as the original font design.

The program memory stores a text chatting program for the text chatting service and a program that performs additional functions executed in the text chatting service. The data storage unit stores a text chatting message transmitted/received through the text chatting service. The key input unit includes a key button for generating the text chatting message. The display displays the transmitted/received text chatting message on a chatting window. The microprocessor executes the text chatting program and performs a control function to display text chatting messages communicated with a mobile communication terminal of a chatting contact on the chatting window.

    Abstract: A method and program for controlling seamless vertical roaming between a wireless local area network and a wireless wide area network in a personal communication unit are disclosed. The method includes assigning an Internet Protocol (IP) address by a Foreign Agent (FA); transmitting a Mobile IP (MIP) request message to the FA; receiving a MIP advertisement message from the FA; transmitting a MIP registration request message to the FA; receiving the first MIP address from the FA; determining whether the personal information device has left a WLAN area (hot spot); if the personal information device has left the WLAN area, terminating an operation of the WLAN device and connecting a Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) session with a Packet Data Serving Node (PDSN) within the WLAN using dial-up networking of the wireless modem at the same time; and receiving a second MIP address from the PDSN. The program is configured to operate the method in a computer or a processor.
