Abstract: An input sensor, an electronic device comprising such, and a method of manufacturing the same are described. The input sensor may be implemented as part of a mechanical key input. The input sensor includes a substrate having a first substrate portion with a signal pattern unit patterned therein, the signal pattern unit configured to generate a signal according to a touch or proximity of an object, and a second substrate portion having an integrated circuit united disposed thereon, the integrated circuit being electrically connected to the surface pattern unit, and a key support having a seating portion configured to support the substrate. Abstract: A touch screen panel includes a window having one curved surface and mounted on a front surface of a display element. A touch screen element is attached to the curved surface of the window, wherein the touch screen element is processed to have a curvature corresponding to a curvature of the curved surface of the window prior to being attached to the curved surface of the window. The touch screen panel operates in a resistive scheme and can be mounted on the window shaped like a curve. The invention makes it possible to manufacture the information device having various designs in accordance with consumer demands yet retaining a low cost.

Abstract: Disclosed is an embedded type antenna pattern for a portable terminal and a method for manufacturing the same in which a metal film plated on an antenna is removed by using a laser beam and an antenna slot pattern is formed at the same time. The embedded type antenna pattern for a portable terminal includes an antenna plate plated with a metal film; and at least one antenna slot pattern formed by mounting the antenna plate to a laser cutting device, positioning the upper end surface of the plated metal film of the antenna plate and a head of the laser cutting device so that they are opposite to each other, and heating the surface of the metal film and then removing the plated metal film by using the laser beam launched from the head of the laser cutting device.

The helical antenna is composed of a helical coil installed within an antenna housing mounted on a main body of a communication device. A feeding connector is electrically coupled to a bottom portion of the helical coil to thereby connect the helical antenna to a circuit of the communication device. The rod antenna is composed of a rod functioning as a conductive metal core wire. The rod is surrounded by the helical coil and the feeding connector and is extendable from and retractable into the main body of the communication device. When the rod is retracted into the main body, the helical coil operates as the exclusive radiating element and operation of the rod antenna is disabled. When the rod is extended from the main body, the rod electrically short-circuits and disables operation of the helical coil, and thereby operates as the exclusive radiating element.

Abstract: A hinge apparatus for a foldable telephone includes a body portion for mounting electronically operable parts and a flip member for covering the body portion. The flip member is assembled with the body portion by means of a pair of hinge shafts that pivot within a predetermined range of angles. A pair of resilient members are provided for influencing rotation of the hinge shafts. Each of the hinge shafts includes a resilient member contact portion that is engaged by a respective resilient member for enabling the flip member to snappingly pivot on the hinge shafts.
