  • Patent number: 11382081
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a pre-5th-generation (5G) or 5G communication system to be provided for supporting higher data rates beyond 4th-generation (4G) communication system such as long term evolution (LTE). Next generation of wireless cellular operation is expected to be deployed in higher frequency above 6 GHz (eg. 10 GHz˜100 GHz, also called mmWave and/or cmWave) due to availability of large amount of spectrum bandwidths. The physical layer of wireless cellular system in both DL and UL operating in mmWave/cmWave would be based on new air-interface different from that of LTE-A air-interface because the radio characteristics is different for mmWave/cmWave bands. The wireless system deployed in mmWave/cmWave system is expected to employ DL beam sweeping on broadcast control information to provide cell coverage to the UE which would result in excessive signaling overhead.

  • Patent number: 11206101
Abstract: Disclosed in one embodiment is a downlink control channel decoding method of a wireless communication system, comprising the steps of: receiving setting information on a first resource and a second resource; blind-decoding reception signals on PDCCH resource candidates within the first resource determined by the setting information, so as to search for a PDCCH of the first resource; and blind-decoding reception signals on PDCCH resource candidates within the second resource determined by the setting information, and by blind-decoding, among the resource candidates, the remaining one or more resource candidates excluding one or more resource candidates, which include a resource area overlapping with the PDCCH having been searched for, so as to search for a PDCCH of the second resource. Therefore, since the number of PDCCH resource candidates required for blind-decoding is adjusted on the basis of an overlapping resource area, power consumption of a terminal can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20210375272
Abstract: Described herein is a system for responding to a frustrated user with a response determined based on spoken language understanding (SLU) processing of a user input. The system detects user frustration and responds to a repeated user input by confirming an action to be performed or presenting an alternative action, instead of performing the action responsive to the user input. The system also detects poor audio quality of the captured user input, and responds by requesting the user to repeat the user input. The system processes sentiment data and signal quality data to respond to user inputs.

  • Patent number: 11153876
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a technique for radio link monitoring in a wireless communication system, and to operation procedures of the base station and user equipment and a method for radio link quality evaluation on the basis of the technique. In the method, the user equipment divides the downlink channel bandwidth into multiple frequency ranges, measures channel states for each frequency range, and evaluates the radio link quality based on channel state measurement results. Thereafter, the user equipment sends frequency range quality information to the base station, which may then utilize the same for downlink resource allocation. Hence, it is possible to solve the problem of the existing scheme wherein the user equipment enters the physical layer problem detection state or the radio link failure state although a frequency range usable for service provisioning is present within the downlink channel bandwidth.
