    Abstract: The present invention relates to a foundation reinforcing apparatus using a bracing-type supporting structure and a lateral prestressing device and a foundation reinforcing method using the same, wherein, in the foundation reinforcement used for remodeling construction that requires an extension of a building such as an apartment, the foundation reinforcing apparatus introduces lateral pre-stressing force into a bracing-type supporting structure to introduce a preloading load to a new pile of a new footing by using an upper supporting plate, which is connected to an existing vertical part and an existing slab, as a reaction bed and allows the new pile to share a load applied before and after the extension of the building so that reinforcement efficiency is increased, and thus construction is performed economically.
