Publication number: 20240086014Abstract: An electronic device may have a display with touch sensors. One or more shielding layers may be interposed between the display and the touch sensors. The shielding layers may include shielding structures such as a conductive mesh structure and/or a transparent conductive film. The shielding structures may be actively driven or passively biased. In the active driving scheme, one or more inverting circuits may receive a noise signal from a cathode layer in the display and/or from the shielding structures, invert the received noise signal, and drive the inverted noise signal back onto the shielding structures to prevent any noise from the display from negatively impacting the performance of the touch sensors. In the passive biasing scheme, the shielding structures may be biased to a power supply voltage.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 20, 2023Publication date: March 14, 2024Inventors: Rungrot Kitsomboonloha, Donggeon Han, Jason N Gomez, Kyung Wook Kim, Nikolaus Hammler, Pei-En Chang, Saman Saeedi, Shih Chang Chang, Shinya Ono, Suk Won Hong, Szu-Hsien Lee, Victor H Yin, Young-Jik Jo, Yu-Heng Cheng, Joyan G Sanctis, Hongwoo Lee

Patent number: 9988850Abstract: A downhole seal system for roller cone drill bits includes a seal gland having a width larger than it depth. In one implementation, the seal gland includes a protrusion along its base on which a seal element seats. The seal element is a single, annular seal element with a recess formed therein so as to define two lobes. The seal element seats in the gland so that the recess engages the protrusion. The lobes function as separate seal elements, although they are a single unitary seal element disposed in a single gland.Type: GrantFiled: December 31, 2012Date of Patent: June 5, 2018Assignee: HALLIBURTON ENERGY SERVICES, INC.Inventors: Micheal B. Patent number: 6117155Abstract: A conventional, stainless-steel acupuncture needle for use with a motor driven needling device for treating patients is provided with a thin, well-adhering, fluorocarbon-based coating. The coating is preferably implemented as a vapor phase coating, formed in a vacuum, to develop a tightly adhering, thin film coating over the surface of the needle. The coated needle is then coupled with the motor driven needling device, and inserted into the skin and muscle tissue of the patient. The motor driven needling device is then operated to cause the coated needle to reciprocate in the tissue of the patient for purposes of treating chronic muscular pain.Type: GrantFiled: November 1, 1999Date of Patent: September 12, 2000Inventor: Young H. Lee

Patent number: 5451535Abstract: A flash EEPROM is produced comprising multiple MOS cells. In each cell, programming and erasing are performed through tunneling from the write gate to the floating gate and by tunneling from the floating gate to the erase gate, respectively. The directional dielectric employed is a multilayered structured (MLS) oxide, where thin oxide and thin polycrystalline silicon form alternating layers. The layering is asymmetric: that is, either the uppermost or bottommost layer is thicker than the other layers. As a result of this structure, the oxide exhibits directionality, that is, the tunneling is easier in one direction than the reverse direction, and significantly enhances the tunneling phenomena (tunneling current can be observed at as low as 4.7 V). In addition, the MLS oxide can be fabricated having different dielectric constants.Type: GrantFiled: May 20, 1994Date of Patent: September 19, 1995Assignee: International Business Machines CorporationInventors: Kevin K. Chan, Sang H. Dhong, Dieter P. E. Kern, Young H. Lee
