    Abstract: A heat exchanger is provided. The heat exchanger includes a stack assembly with a plurality of plates and a plurality of frames arranged in an alternating stacked relationship with the plates along a stack direction. The stack assembly also includes a plurality of foam blocks disposed within the plurality of frames. A first and second fluid flow path extend through the stack assembly, with the first fluid flow path in thermal contact with the second fluid flow path and fluidly isolated from the second fluid flow path.
