Patent number: 11928283Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel including a sensor unit configured to detect a touch operation; a first control unit configured to supply a first signal to the display panel; and a second control unit configured to calculate touch information related to the touch operation and to supply the touch information to the first control unit. The first control unit includes: a signal generator configured to generate the first signal based on an image signal supplied from an external image signal supply source; and an overdrive circuit configured to perform a process of increasing an amplitude of the first signal generated by the signal generator. The overdrive circuit is actuated based on the touch information from the second control unit. The first control unit, in response to the actuation of the overdrive circuit, supplies the first signal having the amplitude increased by the overdrive circuit to the display panel.Type: GrantFiled: January 10, 2023Date of Patent: March 12, 2024Assignee: Sharp Display Technology CorporationInventors: Jin Miyazawa, Noriyuki Tanaka, Daiji Kitagawa, Tatsuhiko Suyama, Yousuke Nakamura, Daisuke Suehiro

Publication number: 20240078975Abstract: A display device is provided with: a display portion including a plurality of scanning lines, a plurality of data lines, and a plurality of pixel circuits; a scanning line drive circuit; and a data line drive circuit. The level of a data voltage applied to the data line decreases when a frame frequency is switched higher, and increases when the frame frequency is switched lower. This can prevent a display flicker when the frame frequency is switched. The level of the data voltage may change when the frame frequency is switched, and may return to its initial level over a plurality of frame periods. The timing of the control signal used to drive the display portion may change in accordance with the frame frequency to cause the length of the charging period of the pixel circuit to change in accordance with the frame frequency.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 13, 2021Publication date: March 7, 2024Inventors: Kazuo NAKAMURA, Noriyuki TANAKA, Masaaki NISHIO, Yousuke NAKAMURA, Tatsuhiko SUYAMA

Patent number: 10660503Abstract: Provided is a sticky cleaner comprising a catcher to catch matter to be removed. The catcher has an adhesive surface formed of PSA, and the sticky cleaner satisfies the following properties: (A1) an oily dirt adhesion test to determine an adhered amount of an oily dirt sample shows an adhered amount A1 of the oily dirt sample per m2 of the adhesive surface of 200 g/m2 or greater; and (B1) a moist/wet dirt adhesion test to determine an adhered amount of a moist/wet dirt sample shows an adhered amount B1 of the moist/wet dirt sample per m2 of the adhesive surface of 190 g/m2 or greater. At least either the adhered amount A1 of the oily dirt sample or the adhered amount B1 of the moist/wet dirt sample is 350 g/m2 or greater.Type: GrantFiled: February 24, 2016Date of Patent: May 26, 2020Assignee: KABUSHIKI KAISHA NITOMSInventors: Tomio Kakita, Takenobu Kojima, Yousuke Suyama, Kazumasa Shibata
