  • Patent number: 4605955
Abstract: A white balance adjusting apparatus for a color television camera detects the color temperature of an illuminating light of an object for shooting and effects the gain balance adjustment of a chromaticity signal circuit in accordance with the detection output. The white balance adjusting apparatus includes at least one attenuating circuit for suitably attenuating the detection output when desired and thereby suppressing the gain balance adjustment during outdoor shooting as compared to indoor shooting.

  • Patent number: 4381521
Abstract: There is described an optical finder system for use with video cameras of the type having a tri-color separation color filter. Positioned in the finder optical path is an optical member onto which the image of an object to be picked up is projected and the optical member has an irregular pattern which is the same or similar to that of the color filter, whereby Moire fringes similar to those produced by the object image in cooperation with the color filter are produced on the finder focussing or imaging surface.

  • Patent number: 4239357
Abstract: A camera which permits automatic and manual focusing operation includes an objective lens structure capable of assuming a condition ready for automatic focusing and a condition ready for manual focusing. The objective lens structure has a focusing lens, a manual focusing operating member capable of moving the focusing lens by extraneous operation when the lens structure is in the condition ready for the manual focusing, and signal means for indicating which of the two conditions the lens structure assumes. The camera further includes an automatically focusing device for measuring the distance to an object to be photographed and generating an output for moving the focusing lens in accordance with the measured distance, and means responsive to the signal means to render the automatically focusing device inoperative when the signal means is indicating the condition ready for manual focusing.

  • Patent number: 4231646
Abstract: A camera which permits automatic focusing and manual focusing comprising an objective lens structure, an automatically focusing device, and actuating means. The objective lens structure includes a focusing lens system, a focusing lens system supporting member, biasing means for biasing the supporting member in one direction of the optic axis of the lens system, and an extraneously operable, manually focusing operating member for moving the supporting member in said one direction through the biasing means and for directly moving the supporting member in the opposite direction. The actuating means is used for moving the supporting member in the direction of the optic axis against the biasing force of the biasing means by the output of the automatically focusing device, independently of the manually focusing operating member.

  • Patent number: 4091398
Abstract: Electronic photoflash unit has functions as a remote control device transmitter and as photoflash for flash photography. The photoflash unit decreases the amount of radiated light when used as the remote control device transmitter and increases the light when used as the photoflash for making photographs.

  • Patent number: 4051496
Abstract: A remote control camera having a fitting member for mounting thereon a signal receiving device to receive a remote control signal, the body of the signal receiver, when fitted on the camera body, serving to cover the entire eye-piece on the camera body to intercept light entering into the camera body through the eye-piece.

  • Patent number: 4048540
Abstract: In an electronic flash unit serving both as the transmitter of a remote control device and a flash unit for flash photography, there is provided a power source, a flash discharge tube, and a discharging circuit having an interlocking switch adapted to be closed in response to electrical connection of the flash unit to the synchro contacts of a camera. The discharging circuit may produce a greater magnitude of discharging current for the flashing of the discharge tube during the closing of the switch than during the opening of the switch. The flash unit further includes a trigger circuit having an extraneously operable trigger switch and effective to trigger the flash discharge tube to effect the discharge of the discharging circuit. Thus, the quantity of flash light emitted from the flash discharge tube is less during the disconnection of the flash unit to the camera's synchro contacts than during the connection of the flash unit to said synchro contacts.

  • Patent number: 4045132
Abstract: In a film rewinding device for a movie camera which is capable of selective use of both the type A magazine provided with a non-releasable anti-backup mechanism on the exposed film take-up shaft and the type B magazine provided with an externally releasable anti-backup mechanism on the film take-up shaft, the film rewinding device comprises a pin to indicate the type of magazine loaded, and for locking the anti-backup mechanism for the type B magazine, to be released when this type of magazine is loaded; a counting gear to count the film footage of the forward or reverse feed, and a connecting gear. The present device makes it possible to selectively use rewinding patterns possessing the advantages of two types of magazines and to employ special photographing techniques for overlaps, superimposition and reverse shooting, in suitable combination.
