  • Publication number: 20240107414
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for switching a secondary cell to a primary cell. A user equipment (UE) monitors a first radio condition of the UE for beams of a primary cell and a second radio condition for beams of one or more secondary cells configured for the UE in carrier aggregation. The UE transmits a request to configure a candidate beam of at least one candidate secondary cell as a new primary cell in response to the first radio condition not satisfying a first threshold and the second radio condition for the at least one candidate secondary cell satisfying a second threshold. A base station determines to reconfigure at least one secondary cell as the new primary cell. The base station and the UE perform a handover of the UE to the new primary cell.

  • Publication number: 20150132726
Abstract: A language learning system and a method thereof is provided, which creates a word database, a phrase database, and a sentence database. The phrases to be learned is identified based on the words the user learned before. The sentence to be learned is identified based on the words the user learned before, the phrases the user learned before, and the combination of the learned words and the learned phrases. That is, the words and phrases in the sentence to be learned are understood by the user. The sentence to be learned is shown in a list for the user to learn.

  • Publication number: 20130114288
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a backlight module. The backlight module includes at least one light tube. Each light tube includes a light emitting side for emitting light and a first micro-structure disposed on the light emitting side for breaking total reflections of the light in the light tube. With the first micro-structure disposed on the light emitting side of the light tube, the total reflections of the light in the light tube can be broken to allow the light to be emitted from the light tube evenly. Also, the reflecting structure is disposed on non-light emitting side for improving the using efficiency of the light and reducing the manufacturing cost of the backlight module. Additionally, the fluorescent layer is coated on the light emitting side for improving a color saturation level of a LCD using the backlight module.

  • Publication number: 20090246743
Abstract: A language learning system and a method thereof are disclosed. The language learning system comprises at least one teaching material database and a computer apparatus. The teaching material database comprises original video data, original broadcast sequence data and authored learning data. The computer apparatus comprises a language learning module, a text record table and a broadcast rule table. The language learning module has an index module, a broadcast module and a recording module. The index module compares the original broadcast sequence data with the text record table to generate a broadcast sequence table. At least one learning unit is generated from the original video data or the authored learning data based on the broadcast sequence table. The broadcast module broadcasts the learning unit based on the broadcast rule table.

  • Patent number: 5927317
Abstract: A venting valve assembly for a waterbed having a water compartment is provided. The assembly includes an exhaust port for the water compartment which includes a stem portion, an upper cover threadedly coupled to that stem portion, and a lower cover also coupled to the stem portion. Defined within the stem portion is a valve chamber with which a vent hole through an upper wall of the stem portion and a plurality of through holes in the lower cover are in open communication. The assembly also includes a pontoon disposed within the valve chamber for buoyant displacement responsive to entry of water into that valve chamber. The pontoon is formed with a substantially hollow body to which a resilient plug cover is coupled, and on which a plurality of outwardly protruding strips are formed. As water from the waterbed's water compartment enters the valve chamber, the pontoon is displaced buoyantly upward until the resilient plug cover engages the vent hole.

  • Patent number: 5850644
Abstract: A temperature and pressure control system for a water bed is provided and includes a temperature control circuit and a pressure control circuit. The temperature control circuitry consists of two temperature detecting elements for detecting an ambient air temperature and the mattress temperature, respectively. The detected temperatures are compared with each other and the resulting value, together with a set value from an adjusting circuit, are processed by a microprocessor to produce a target temperature. When the target temperature is higher or lower than the mattress temperature, a heater is turned on or off, respectively, so that the mattress can be maintained at a value set according to a user's preferred temperature. The pressure control circuitry consists of a pressure detecting element for detecting the air pressure within air chambers of the mattress.

  • Patent number: 5555580
Abstract: A water bed having inner communicable air chambers is provided. The water bed has a mattress body formed of an upper and a lower sheet with an air inlet, a water inlet, and an air vent provided thereon. A plurality of mutually communicable long air chambers arranged in parallel are sealed inside the mattress body by means of radioheating to longitudinally divide an inner space of the mattress body into a plurality of alternate air and water passages. The air chambers each have an oval-shaped cross-sectional contour that permits the air chambers to change their shape in accordance with the amount of air filled therein. The mattress body is thereby maintained in a soft, elastic, stable condition. The air chambers reduce the amount of water required to fill the mattress body and thereby reduce the weight of the mattress body and shorten the time required to heat or cool the water bed.
