The line buffer receives partial pixels of a first picture and partial pixels of a second picture. The first multiplexer selects the partial pixels of the first and second picture as an output. The image processing engine performs an image processing on the partial pixels output by the first multiplexer to thereby produce processed pixels. The scaling engine performs a scaling operation on the processed pixels to thereby produce scaled pixels. The timing generator produces a timing signal for the image processing engine and the scaling engine and produces enable signals respectively for the first picture and the second picture. The image processing engine and the scaling engine process the partial pixels of the first or second picture in multiplexing.

    Abstract: An integrated circuit and method for simulating and trimming the same are provided. The integrated circuit includes a multiplexer, a trimming circuit, a major circuit, and a simulating device. The simulating device simulates the operation of the trimming circuit and sends a simulating signal to temporarily change the electric characteristics. Hence, the electric characteristics of the integrated circuit after trimming can be predicted so that the difference between the predicted and real electric characteristics can be reduced and the yield rate can be effectively improved.

    Abstract: A combined hardware/firmware device and method for automatic recovery of an integrated circuit avoids a disruptive power-on reset after occurrence of an electrostatic discharge which may occur during normal operations or during electromagnetic compatibility testing. The device is incorporated into the chip of the IC and includes an electromagnetic discharge sensor, a flag, and firmware to execute the recovery and reset procedures. The sensor is located between the VDD and VSS lines of the IC which itself includes one or both of a microprocessor and a microcontroller. In a power-on reset sequence, the sensor output and the flag are both set to logic 0. After an electrical transient voltage occurs, the sensor output is set to logic 1. The logic 1 output of the sensor sets the flag, which may be a D flip-flop, to a value of logic 1.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an automatic reset circuit for detecting much faster transient voltage variation between the supply voltage (VDD) and the electric ground (GND) of an electric system with noise and disturbance. The automatic reset circuit of the invention includes a plurality of detecting units, a plurality of voltage-couple devices connected with the detecting units, and a decision unit with an output port. The decision unit and the voltage-couple devices are also connected. The automatic reset circuit of the invention can detect nanosecond transient voltage variation between the supply voltage and the electric ground, and a reset is then enabled for protecting the inner circuits and surviving the normal operations of the electric system.
