    Abstract: A storage device mounting apparatus includes a first slider (20) having a catch (26), a second slider (30) having a cutout (35), a bracket (40) and a fastener (50). The bracket defines an opening (42) in a front plate (41) thereof. The bracket forms a guideway (45) having an aperture (47), a rail (46) and a stop (49) from a bottom plate (44) thereof corresponding to the opening. In assembly, the sliders are attached to opposite sides of a storage device (10). The storage device is inserted into the bracket through the opening, the first slider sliding along the guideway and the second slider sliding the rail. The catch of the first slider engages in the aperture of the guideway, the cutout of the second slider engagingly receives the stop, and the fastener secures the first slider to the guideway.

    Abstract: A mounting bracket (10) for holding a disk drive (30) includes a bottom wall (12), a first sidewall (14) extending upwardly from one side of the bottom wall with two locating pins (16) protruding inwardly therefrom corresponding to two fixing holes defined in a sidewall of the disk drive, a second sidewall extending upwardly from an opposite side of said bottom wall for sandwiching the disk drive with the first sidewall, and locking means for engaging with a second sidewall of the disk drive to retain the disk drive in the mounting bracket. In assembly, the disk drive is placed in the mounting bracket, and the locating pines are inserted into the fixing holes of the disk drive. With the other sidewall of the disk drive secured to the fixing structures of the mounting bracket, the disk drive is secured in the mounting bracket.

    Abstract: A computer component mounting system includes two mounting frames (30) attached to two side panels (52) of a chassis (50) respectively, and a mounting bracket (10) having a main portion (12) for attaching computer components (100) such as fans (100) thereto, and two mounting portions (13) at opposite ends of the main portion. Each mounting frame includes a base plate (32) forming a positioning plate (322), and two side plates (36) each forming an oblique guide plate (362). A locking slot (364) is defined in each side plate and adjoining guide plate. Each mounting portion includes two locking tabs (140, 160) engaging in the locking slots of a corresponding mounting frame, and a positioning tab (15) joined to the positioning plate of the corresponding mounting frame to thereby secure the mounting bracket to the mounting frames. The fans are thus secured within the chassis.

The front board defines an opening (342) for extension of the data storage device therethrough. The lock member for securing the data storage device to the support member includes a lateral plate (22) and a bottom plate (24). Each of lock members has a symmetrical configuration about a central transverse axis thereof. The bottom plate defines at least one locking slot (242) engagingly receiving a corresponding one of the hooks. The fasteners fixedly secure the bottom plates of the lock members to the support member.

    Abstract: A drive bracket assembly includes a bracket (30) for receiving a disk drive (70) therein, an operating member (40) and a cover (60). The bracket includes first and second side panels (31), a pair of slots (36) is defined in the first and second side panels respectively, for slidably receiving respective screws (80) of the disk drive. An upper hook (34) is outwardly formed on the first side panel. A lower hook (48) is outwardly formed on the operating member. A spring (50) is engaged with the upper hook and the lower hook respectively. The operating member includes a concavity (49) adjoining the slot of the first side panel, for securely receiving one rear screw of the disk drive thereby the disk drive is securely retained in the bracket. The disk drive is withdrawn from the bracket by pressing the operating member to disengage said screw from the concavity.

A pair of pins (28) is stamped perpendicularly from the main wall. An extension tab (23) extends from the left side wall and defines a through aperture (25) therein. A bent tab (27) extends from the right side wall. In assembly, the switch is received in the retaining device with the pins being received in through holes of the switch. The combined retaining device and switch is then attached to a panel (32) of the enclosure (30). The bent tab is engagingly received in a locking aperture of the panel. A screw (40) is extended through the through aperture (25) to engage with the panel in a screw aperture (38) thereof.

    Abstract: A disk drive mounting device assembly (10) includes two fasteners (20), a drive cage (30) having a disk drive received therein, two mounting brackets (40), and a chassis (50). Each fastener is generally U-shaped. Outer and inner latches (27, 28) are formed on opposite sides of the fastener. A locating protrusion (22) and a mounting protrusion (24) extend forwardly from the fastener. A spring finger (26) extends rearwardly from a front of the fastener. The drive cage defines two mounting holes (32) in rear ends of opposite sides thereof. The mounting brackets are mounted on the chassis symmetrically opposite from each other. Each mounting bracket defines a longitudinal slideway (42), and a locking portion (46) at a rear end of the slideway. The fasteners snappingly engage in the locking portions. The inner latches of the fasteners protrude into the slideways and engage in the mounting holes of the drive cage.
