    Abstract: A drill structure comprises a shank part and a bit part. A web is formed on the front end of the bit part. Two sides of the web are tilted backward to form two cutting faces. At least one flute (chip-discharge groove) is formed on the surface of the bit part. Each cutting face includes a primary cutting face and a secondary cutting face. The thickness of the prismatic web edge of at least one primary cutting face is smaller than the outer-side width of the primary cutting face. An auxiliary cutting face is extended to the wall of the flute from the cutting edge of the primary cutting face and a portion of a blade back of the secondary cutting face of another cutting face. The present invention decreases the drilling resistance during drilling a hole and increases the service life of the drill bit.

    Abstract: Devices converting light to electricity (such as solar cells or photodetectors) including a heavily-doped p-type a-SiCy:H and an i-MgxCd1?xTe/n-CdTe/N—Mg0.24Cd0.76Te double heterostructure (DH), with power conversion efficiency of as high as 17%, Voc as high as 1.096 V, and all operational characteristics being substantially better than those of monocrystalline solar cells known to-date. The a-SiCy:H layer is configured to enable high built-in potential while, at the same time, allowing the doped absorber to maintain a very long carry lifetime. In comparison, similar undoped CdTe/MgxCd1?xTe DH designs reveal a long carrier lifetime of 3.6 ?s and an interface recommendation velocity of 1.2 cm/s, which are lower than the record values reported for GaAs/Al0.5Ga0.5As (18 cm/s) and GaAs/Ga0.5In0.5P (1.5 cm/s) DHs.

    Abstract: The current invention discloses methods, applications, and devices for audio transmission from a mobile terminal. After receiving an audio signal transmission request from a user, the mobile terminal may initiate a recording session to record audio signals into audio frames. During the recording session, the terminal may adjust the audio codecs used for encoding the audio frames based on the workload and the performance of the terminal. By measuring and evaluating the encoding time, the terminal may change between using a floating-point AMR audio codec and a fixed-point AMR audio codec. The encoded audio frames are transmitted to a remote server. The current invention provides a flexible and efficient approach for audio signal encoding and transmission, balancing signal integrity and encoding speed at the same time.
