  • Patent number: 9762410
Abstract: The present application provides a method and a device for clearing a MAC forwarding entry. The method includes: detecting, by a first RB, that a topology of a network accessed by a local terminal changes; and sending, by the first RB, a first packet to a second RB, so that the second RB clears a corresponding forwarding entry after receiving the first packet, where the second RB refers to an RB configured with at least one VLAN the same as that of the first RB. According to embodiments of the present application, after the topology of the network accessed by the local terminal changes, MAC forwarding entries of relevant devices in a whole network can be cleared in time, thereby avoiding a forwarding error.

  • Publication number: 20170134308
Abstract: A Border Gateway Protocol Monitoring Protocol (BMP) module sends to a Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) module a request for acquiring a capability information set; the BGP module traverses BGP capability data stored in the BGP module to acquire all BGP capability data configured in the network device and sends all the BGP capability to the BMP module; and the BMP module sends to the monitoring server an initial capability information set message carrying all the BGP capability data and a device identifier of the network device. By means of capability extension of a network device, the network device can acquire, through interaction between a BGP module and a BMP module, all BGP capabilities configured in the network device and send all the BGP capabilities to a monitoring server, so that the monitoring server can fully understand actual capability supported by the entire network, further providing an effective basis for deployment of and decision on the entire network.

  • Publication number: 20170041215
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a path checking method, a sink node device, and a communications system. The path checking method includes: a sink node determines whether a check packet sent by an ingress node by using a check multicast tree is received within a predetermined time, where the sink node is a node connected to a receiver, the ingress node is a node connected to a multicast source, and the check multicast tree and a first multicast tree have a same transmission path and different multicast addresses; and if the sink node determines that no check packet sent by the ingress node by using the check multicast tree is received within the predetermined time, the sink node determines a path fault exists in an upstream node of the sink node in the first multicast tree.

  • Publication number: 20160234107
Abstract: The present invention discloses a forward entry generating method, a forward node, and a controller. The method includes: receiving, by a first forward node, MPLS forwarding path information, which is sent by a controller, of a MPLS forwarding path, where the MPLS forwarding path information includes: ingress node information, transit node information, and egress node information; sending the MPLS forwarding path information to a third forward node; and generating an MPLS forward entry of the first forward node according to the MPLS forwarding path information. According to the method, the forward node, and the controller in embodiments of the present invention, it can be avoided that the controller sends, in a point-to-point manner, MPLS forward entries to all forward nodes that an MPLS forwarding path passes through, thereby effectively improving efficiency of generating an MPLS forward entry and reducing occupation of outbound bandwidth of the controller.

  • Publication number: 20160234105
Abstract: A network system includes one controller and a plurality of forwarding devices, where the forwarding devices forms a plurality of network topologies; the controller is configured to: allocate, according to a different attribute requirement of a virtual link on a basic link in the network topology, a link global label to the basic link based on the attribute requirement, and send a link binding relationship between the link global label and <a network topology ID, a basic link identifier, and an attribute> to the forwarding devices, where global labels allocated to each virtual link are different; and the forwarding devices is configured to receive the link binding relationship, and generate a label forwarding entry including a mapping relationship between the link global label and virtual link forwarding information, where the virtual link forwarding information includes the basic link and specified attribute processing that are corresponding to the global label.

  • Publication number: 20150109938
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, apparatus, and system for detecting performance of a layer 3 virtual private network. A first node creates an OAM instance according to OAM configuration information set by a user, and sends the OAM configuration information to a second nodet; the second node creates an OAM instance according to the OAM configuration information; and the first node performs OAM detection by sending an OAM packet to the second node and/or receiving an OAM packet from the second node, where the sending and/or receiving is implemented by using the OAM instance of the first node. According to the present invention, not only an OAM configuration procedure is simplified and manpower is saved, but also consistency of OAM configuration at two ends can be ensured. In addition, a configuration delay in this dynamic configuration manner may be ignored.

  • Patent number: 8923155
Abstract: In an embodiment, the disclosure includes an apparatus comprising a host component which comprises a virtual switch associated with a virtual machine (VM). The host component is in communication with a routing component which is connected to a network and comprises a network address. The VM sends a communication packet to the virtual switch. The communications packet comprises address information comprising a virtual destination address. The virtual switch replaces the virtual destination address of the communications packet with the network address of the routing component. The disclosure also includes a network comprising a plurality of host components each comprising a virtual switch. The host components are connected to a common routing component. A first virtual switch is designated to respond to address requests and all non-designated virtual switches are configured not to respond to address requests.

  • Publication number: 20120099422
Abstract: A fast convergence method, router, and communication system for multicast are disclosed. In the fast convergence method, router, and communication system for multicast, active and standby outgoing interfaces and active and standby next hops for each unicast route reaching a multicast source are calculated, and then active and standby paths are constructed according to the calculated active and standby outgoing interfaces and next hops; when the active path fails, a multicast stream sent by the multicast source is received through the standby path and forwarded; active and standby incoming interfaces and next hops of multicast do not need to be configured on the device statically, which may adapt to dynamic topology changes of the network and greatly expand the multicast stream protection scenarios.
