Abstract: A hybrid switching device is disclosed that allow packets transmitted according to different communication protocols to be forwarded in a seamless manner using the same resources of a universal data plane, thereby alleviating the need to employ separate forwarding engines for different types of data planes and/or communication protocols. In operation, if the destination address of a packet received by the switching device is not stored therein, the switching device determines the protocol type of the originating port and, in response thereto, selects an appropriate packet flooding operation to ensure that the packet reaches its destination without creating unnecessary data loops within the switching device.

Abstract: A method for bearer control, bearer deletion, data distribution, and multicast broadcast service MBS modification are described, which enables MBS data to be received successfully and MBS sessions to be managed effectively. According to the invention involved in a communication field, service distribution information for one MBS service is maintained within MBS upstream and downstream nodes, and the MBS service distribution information is composed of a list of downstream nodes corresponding to the respective nodes. A corresponding service bearer and data distribution relation of the MBS are established and maintained based on the service distribution information, and service data of the MBS is distributed based on the service bearer and the data distribution relation.

Abstract: A method for a terminal to join a multicast broadcast service (MBS) in a wireless network and a wireless communication system are provided, so as to enable a terminal to successfully join an MBS and receive MBS content. The method and the system relate to a wireless communication field. A terminal obtains MBS parameters that include a first ID indicating an air interface connection and a second ID indicating MBS content from a network, so that the terminal can receive the MBS content indicated by the second ID from the air interface connection indicated by the first ID after receiving the MBS parameters and thus successfully join the MBS. The terminal may initiate an MBS join process by sending an MBS join request message, so as to obtain the MBS parameters and join the required MBS. The network may actively initiate the MBS join process to send the MBS parameters to the terminal and invite the terminal to join the MBS.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a wireless communication technology field. A method for determining a mobile IP key of a mobile terminal is provided, which includes: receiving a mobile IP registration request message of a mobile terminal, in which the mobile IP registration request message includes a key material field; and reporting material information for determining a key according to the key material field. A method for determining a mobile IP key of a mobile terminal, a mobile IP agent device, a system for obtaining a mobile IP type, and a mobile terminal are also provided. With the technical solutions provided in the present invention, the mobile IP keys and/or the mobile IP type of the mobile terminal can be correctly determined, thus achieving a fast and correct access of the mobile terminal.
