Abstract: A method for allocating bearer network resources is disclosed, which includes: each bearer network resource manager deciding after receiving a QoS resource request whether the destination user of the QoS resource request is an intra-domain user, if yes, selecting an intra-domain LSP, allocating resources on the selected intra-domain LSP, and terminating the procedure; otherwise selecting an inter-domain LSP based on the inter-domain routing policy pre-configured in the bearer network resource manager, and allocating resources on the selected inter-domain LSP; then selecting an intra-domain LSP based on the information of the selected inter-domain LSP and the service information, and allocating resources on the selected intra-domain LSP; and sending the QoS resource request with the information of the selected inter-domain LSP carried in to the downstream bearer network resource manager. This invention makes it possible for the operator to allocate resources according to a routing policy.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for guaranteeing reliability of end-to-end QoS, including: a. detecting and determining whether there is a failure on a Label Switched Path (LSP); if there isn't, returning to the process of detecting; otherwise, determining whether there is a backup LSP for the failed LSP; if there is, an edge router or a transmit router switching service streams and corresponding resources from the failed LSP to the backup LSP based on a certain policy; otherwise, a resource control function (RCF) entity allocating a new LSP according to network topologies for the service streams born on the failed LSP, and switching the service streams from the failed LSP to the newly allocated LSP, and releasing the path resources formerly occupied by the service streams. The method can guarantee service continuity and reliability of QoS in a bearer network.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a method for implementing cross-domain resource management. If requesting for service connection resources, for each domain, a border Call Agent (CA) first sends a connection resource request to a specific bearer network resource manager in its domain. This bearer network resource manager decides whether the destination user's device is in its administration domain. If yes, it makes an appropriate processing and returns a response of a successful processing to the CA it belongs to; if not, the bearer network resource manager performs an appropriate preprocessing and sends back a response of a successful preprocessing to the CA it belongs to, and after receiving the response, the CA sends a connection resource request to its next-hop CA.

Abstract: A method for resource admission control process, an Access-Resource and Admission Control Function entity and a Service-based Policy Decision Function entity, wherein the method includes: sending an Admission Request message, which carries the current media stream address information, to an Access-Resource and Admission Control Function entity (A-RACF) in an originating home network from a Service-based Policy Decision Function entity (SPDF) when the SPDF successfully configures an IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) connection for a Core Border Gateway Function entity (C-BGF) in the originating home network; and performing a resource admission control process for a corresponding media stream by the A-RACF according to the received Admission Request message. With the method of the present invention, the resource admission control process performed by the A-RACF on the media stream may become meaningful.

Abstract: A method is disclosed for providing reliable transmission Quality of Service (QoS) in communication network, in which a QoS connection is established between bearer network resource managers in bearer network control layer, and maintenance management mechanism is well established in terms of the QoS connection. Various QoS resource control messages can be carried through this established QoS connection, so that request of service bandwidth application of the user and the result thereof, as well as the path information allocated by bearer network resource managers can be transferred. The disclosed method is reliable and easy to implement and maintain, with good controlled quality, and can implement resource synchronization between bearer network resource managers. Therefore, implementation of the disclosed method makes it more convenient to manage resources of bearer network uniformly, and provides technical support on guaranteeing transmission reliability of important services.
