  • Publication number: 20230128730
Abstract: A composition for application to a plant is provided. The composition includes a photosensitizer that generates reactive oxygen species in the presence of light and oxygen, the photosensitizer being selected from the group consisting of a porphyrin, a reduced porphyrin and a combination thereof; a film-forming agent, the film-forming agent forming a film that is substantially impermeable to oxygen when in a non-hydrated state; an antioxidant agent; and an aqueous carrier in which the photosensitizer, the film-forming agent and the antioxidant agent are solubilized and/or dispersed. The composition is used for improving the health of a plant.

  • Publication number: 20210352889
Abstract: A method for increasing resistance of a plant to one or more abiotic stress is provided. The method includes applying to the plant a combination including: a macrocyclic tetrapyrrole compound selected from the group consisting of a porphyrin, a reduced porphyrin and a mixture thereof; and an oil selected from the group consisting of a mineral oil, a vegetable oil and a mixture thereof. Another method for increasing resistance of a plant to one or more abiotic stress is provided. The method includes applying a macrocyclic tetrapyrrole compound selected from the group consisting of a porphyrin, a reduced porphyrin and a mixture thereof, to at least one of a seed and a seedling of the plant. Corresponding compositions are also provided.

  • Publication number: 20200253211
Abstract: There is provided a method for inhibiting growth of a microbial pathogen of a plant. The method includes applying to the plant a combination including a nitrogen-bearing macrocyclic compound which is a singlet oxygen photosensitizer selected from the group consisting of a porphyrin, a reduced porphyrin and a mixture thereof; and a chelating agent to increase permeability of the microbial pathogen to the nitrogen-bearing macrocyclic compound; and exposing the plant to light to activate the nitrogen-bearing macrocyclic compound and generate reactive singlet oxygen species.

  • Patent number: 7423395
Abstract: It is the objective of the present invention to provide a sensorless vector control method and a control apparatus, for an alternating-current motor, that can smoothly restart an alternating-current motor in the free running state. According to the present invention, when a current that flows in an alternating-current motor (2) at a restart time 7 the alternating-current motor (2) continuously flows at a designated current level or higher for a designated period of time, it is determined that the rotational direction or the velocity of the alternating-current motor (2) is incorrectly estimated, and a direct current or a direct-current voltage is again applied to again estimate the rotational direction and the velocity.
