Patent number: 11867210Abstract: Provided is an expansion-type anchor with excellent pull-out strength. The anchor comprises an anchor body 1 that has an expansion section 3 split by an inner slit 2, and a sleeve 9 to enclose and hold the expansion section 3 of the anchor body 1. The sleeve 9 is split into a plurality of follower expansion sections by an outer main slit 10 and an outer auxiliary slit 11. A group of balls 4 is disposed inside the anchor body 1, and the expansion section 3 expands into a tapered shape when the group of balls 4 is pressed by an expansion bolt 6. When a pull-out force is applied to the anchor body 1, the sleeve 9 does not retract and deforms by expanding after the retraction of the anchor body 1. As a result, the anchor body 1 is prevented from retracting by way of the sleeve 9 being sandwiched between a prepared hole 13 and the expansion section 3.Type: GrantFiled: August 26, 2019Date of Patent: January 9, 2024Inventor: Yuji Dohi

Patent number: 10415620Abstract: An expansion anchor includes a hollow shaft 3 and a bolt 9 to be screwed thereinto from a base end side of the hollow shaft. The hollow shaft 3 is formed, at a portion thereof short of a tip end 3a, with a radially expansive portion 7 which includes slits 6, and a multiplicity of balls 10 are inserted into the radially expansive portion 7. When the bolt 9 is screwed, the balls 10 push against each other and move radially. As a result, the radially expansive portion 7 deforms expansively for securely engaging with a pre-formed hole 2. Even when the radially expansive portion 7 expands, stress does not concentrate at a specific portion of an installation region 1, so that it is possible to provide a high withdrawal resistance while preventing cone-type failure. The management of the withdrawal resistance can be easily performed by screwing the bolt 9) using a wrench with a torque limiter or by screwing the bolt 9 using a torque wrench.Type: GrantFiled: January 29, 2016Date of Patent: September 17, 2019Inventor: Yuji Dohi

Patent number: 7950888Abstract: A screw includes a shaft, a trumpet-shaped head provided to a base end of the shaft, and a narrow-tip portion formed at a tip end of the shaft. The shaft has different diameters at a small-diameter portion contiguous to the narrow-tip portion and at a large-diameter portion contiguous to the head. Two screw threads are formed on the small-diameter portion and one screw thread is formed on the large-diameter portion. Therefore, a thread portion can be divided into a double-thread portion and a single-thread portion. It is preferable that the screw threads forming the double-thread portion have different heights. The screw is mainly used for fastening a plasterboard to a frame member.Type: GrantFiled: April 10, 2007Date of Patent: May 31, 2011Assignee: Japan Power Fastening Co., Ltd.Inventor: Yuji Dohi

Patent number: 5687899Abstract: A gas type fastener driver 1 is supplied with electric power from an external power source 55 through an electric cord 53. When a trigger 45 is pulled to turn a switch 47 on, the external electric power is supplied to an ignition plug 17 to burn gas in a combustion chamber 14. Combustion gas pushes a piston 11 forward to drive a nail n by a driving rod 12 connected to the piston 11.Type: GrantFiled: April 19, 1996Date of Patent: November 18, 1997Assignee: Illinois Tool Works Inc.Inventors: Yuji Dohi, Ernest John Wendling

Patent number: 5571967Abstract: The termite detecting device is placed in an expected invading passage for detecting damage or destruction caused by termites. One configuration of the device includes: a detecting wood sample for attracting termites; a detecting terminal being pressed against the detecting wood sample while the detecting wood sample is supplied with water as required; and a magnetic circuit capable of being opened and closed by the movement of the detecting terminal. When the detecting wood sample is eaten and damaged by termites and becomes fragile, the detecting terminal sinks into the detecting wood sample by virtue of a pressing force and the magnetic circuit is made open. As a result, the device detects the existence of termites. Alternatively, another configuration of the termite detecting device detects vibrations caused by termites so as to detect the invasion of termites.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 1994Date of Patent: November 5, 1996Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Kunio Tanaka, Yuji Dohi, Akira Okamoto, Katsushi Morimoto, Gouichi Kagiyama

Patent number: 5544746Abstract: A resinous belt is provided for holding a train of screws each having a shank and a head. The belt comprises a series of screw retaining bores formed in the belt at a predetermined pitch longitudinally of the belt. Each screw retaining bore has a diametrically smaller shank retaining portion for engagement with the screw shank, and a diametrically larger root portion which has a first edge adjoining the shank retaining portion and a second edge remote from the shank retaining portion. The screw retaining bore is surrounded by a plurality of removal facilitating holes formed in the belt. The root portion of the screw retaining bore is located radially outside an imaginary cone which contains the first and second edges of the root portion.Type: GrantFiled: October 11, 1994Date of Patent: August 13, 1996Assignee: Japan Power Fastening Co. Patent number: 4141597Abstract: In an oil pressure controlled brake system, wherein the brake oil contained within a wheel cylinder is returned to an oil reservoir associated with a master cylinder through an electromagnetic cross valve when the wheel lock or impending lock is detected. The brake system includes a pressure control valve interposed within a feedback loop connecting the electromagnetic cross valve to the oil reservoir. The pressure control valve is so constructed as to suddenly reduce the wheel cylinder pressure to a predetermined value and then gradually reduce the wheel cylinder pressure while the electromagnetic cross valve is energized.Type: GrantFiled: January 24, 1977Date of Patent: February 27, 1979Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takefumi Sato, Yuji Dohi

Patent number: 4009914Abstract: In a skid control system for fluid actuated brakes of a wheeled vehicle, it is necessary to provide a fault detection unit for detecting a dangerous fault condition of the skid control system and disconnecting the skid control system from an electric source. There is also provided another fault detection unit for detecting a light fault condition of the skid control system and a fault condition of a power circuit during travel of the vehicle, and indicating the fault condition without disconnecting the skid control system from the electric source. The initial condition of the skid control system immediately after power throw is checked and the indication is carried out when the skid control system is in a normal condition, and the indication is eliminated when the velocity of the vehicle exceeds a predetermined value.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 1975Date of Patent: March 1, 1977Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takefumi Sato, Yuji Dohi
