    Abstract: Provided is a charging device including a plurality of battery pack connection parts, the charging device capable of performing appropriate charging when charging is performed while switching a charging target battery pack. A microcomputer 90 can alternatively execute a first mode and a second mode as a control mode when the battery pack is connected to a plurality of the battery pack connection parts 6a to 6d. In the first mode, the charging target battery packs are switched before being fully charged and sequentially charged. In the second mode, the charging target battery packs are fully charged and then switched and charged. At each switching, the type or the state of the charging target battery pack is detected.
