  • Patent number: 8494309
Abstract: In local memory that stores image data, the image data is invalidated to prevent leakage of the image data. Input image data is stored in local memory 10 and subjected to image processing, and then it is saved in a hard disk device 4. The image data that is read from the hard disk device 4 is stored in the local memory 10, and then printed as an image from a printing portion 3a or transmitted from a communication section 5 in data communication. When image data input is completed, image data is left stored in the local memory 10. Therefore, the image data is overwritten with random data and invalidated so that the image data is unreadable. Also, when image data processing is completed, image data is invalidated.

  • Patent number: 8332933
Abstract: When a user operates a processing apparatus through a touch panel, a fingerprint processing unit reads fingerprint information of the user's finger. Each time when the fingerprint processing unit reads fingerprint information, a CPU judges whether the read fingerprint information is identical to a fingerprint information of authenticated user. If being identical, the processing apparatus executes a process in accordance with an operation accepted through the touch panel. These two fingerprint information are identical each other if the operating user through the operation accepting panel is the authenticated user. It means that the processing apparatus judges whether the operating user is the authenticated user, each time when the user operates. If the user is the authenticated user, the process in accordance with the operation by this user is then executed.

  • Patent number: 8301073
Abstract: In an image forming apparatus of the present invention, when performing one-side printing during a predetermined period after two-side printing, a change in a carrying velocity of a post-process apparatus is prevented and thus recording paper having passed through a fixing section is carried and output at a velocity that is lower than a velocity for normal one-side printing and that is identical with a velocity for two-side printing. Consequently, it is possible to prevent dropping of productivity of the image forming system due to a time necessary for changing the carrying velocity of the post-process apparatus and to increase an operating ratio of the image forming system, even if the post-process apparatus is designed to completely stop the carrying roller etc. when changing the carrying velocity.

  • Patent number: 8290218
Abstract: When an information medium is copied, information is printed while preventing personal information from leaking. An image scanning section 2 scans the information medium and inputs the image. An identification section 64 calculates the size of the information medium from the inputted image and identifies the type of the information medium. The position of the unique image indicating personal information is fixed according to the information medium. An area determination section 63 identifies the unique image in the information medium and determines the position of the specific area in which the unique image exists in the inputted image. A control section 7 performs image processing for masking the specific area. An image forming section 3 prints the image in a state in which the unique image is hidden.

  • Patent number: 8264719
Abstract: The output history of image data is made traceable when image data is processed while it is transmitted between an image processing apparatus and an external apparatus. The image processing apparatus adds specific information including information concerning the own apparatus to image data from a document. When specific information is added, either the form of writing specific information in header information of image data or the form of combining with an original image a specific image corresponding to specific information is selected. The image processing apparatus sends image data having added specific information to a management server, and the management server stores inputted image data. The management server adds information concerning the own apparatus to image data as specific information, and sends the image data to the image processing apparatus. The image processing apparatus adds information concerning the own apparatus to image data as specific information, and prints the image data.
