  • Patent number: 11368624
Abstract: An image capturing apparatus comprises an image sensor, and a controller that controls the image sensor to shoot images for display at a first cycle and controls to shoot a still image in response to the image shooting instruction. In a case where continuous shooting of still images is instructed during shooting the images for display at the first cycle, the controller changes a cycle at which the images for display are shot to a second cycle which corresponds to an integer multiple of speed of the continuous shooting while e continuous shooting is performed, and controls the image sensor to shoot the still images at the speed of the continuous shooting and shoot the images for display at the second cycle.

  • Patent number: 11356611
Abstract: An image capture apparatus comprising an image sensor is disclosed. When an instruction to shoot a still image has been detected when executing a live view display, the image capture apparatus shoots the still image preferentially, while repeatedly displaying a same image during a period in which the live view display cannot be updated. The image capture apparatus reduces a luminance and/or changes a tone of the image that is repeatedly displayed.

  • Patent number: 11356603
Abstract: An image capturing apparatus comprising an image sensor and a control circuit is disclosed. The control circuit changes, if a second drive period that is a drive period of the image sensor for still image shooting overlaps with a first drive period that is a drive period of the image sensor for moving image shooting, a start timing of the second drive period. When performing still image shooting while performing moving image shooting and moving image display: if the still image shooting is single image shooting or a first shot of continuous shooting, the control circuit does not change the start timing of the second drive period. If the still image shooting is a second shot onward of continuous shooting, the control circuit changes the start timing of the second drive period with giving priority to the moving image display.

  • Patent number: 10063880
Abstract: In a motion detecting apparatus which can perform a high-accuracy motion search with a less calculation cost, it is discriminated whether or not input Activity and DIFF_XORSUM values are smaller than respective predetermined thresholds. If the Activity value is smaller than the threshold or the DIFF_XORSUM value is smaller than the threshold, a reference vector is selected as a motion vector. On the other hand, if the Activity value is equal to or higher than the threshold and the DIFF_XORSUM value is equal to or higher than the threshold, an N-valued image search vector is selected as the motion vector.
