  • Publication number: 20090318190
Abstract: A mobile terminal device a use thereof by a third person is prevented is provided. The mobile terminal device includes: a terminal storage section 103 storing a unique identifier for uniquely specifying the mobile terminal; an interface section 106 for connecting to an IC card module; and a CPU 102 which checks whether a unique identifier is stored in a memory in the IC card module when the IC card module is connected to the interface section, and when a unique identifier is stored in the memory, checks matching of a unique identifier stored in the memory and a unique identifier stored in the terminal storage section, validates the IC card module when matched, invalidates the IC card module when not matched, and writes a unique identifier stored in the terminal storage section in the memory and validates the IC card module when a unique identifier is not stored in the memory.

  • Patent number: 6801342
Abstract: An image scanner allows the reflection from the image on the face containing the image data to read of an original to strike on a one-dimensional image sensor and thus scans and reads the entire image on the original's face. The image scanner includes brightness sensing means for sensing ambient brightness and means for varying the reading speed of the one-dimensional image sensor in accordance with the brightness sensed by the brightness sensing means. In light surroundings, the scanner generates relatively fast clock signals, making the original's face scanning faster according to these clock signals, producing image data signals without saturating their output capacity. In dark surroundings, the scanner generates relatively slow clock signals, making the original's face scanning slower according to these signals, producing image data signals with a satisfactory S/N ratio.

  • Patent number: 6686887
Abstract: The invention relates to a radio communication card and makes it possible to mount it in an existing card slot by providing an antenna portion on a surface of a card body. There is provided a radio communication card that can be mounted in a card slot of an information processing apparatus. A radio communication logic is contained in the card body and, on a surface of the card body, there is provided an antenna portion which forms at least a part of the surface of the card body. The antenna portion is configured such that it can be moved between a first position of the card body in which it is contained in the card body and a second position in which it protrudes from the card body.
