    Abstract: A driver circuit includes a drive circuit, a monitoring circuit, and a control circuit. The drive circuit includes a first current source and drives a switching element when the first current source is connected to a control terminal of the switching element. The monitoring circuit monitors a period of time from a start to an end of a change in a voltage drop across the switching element. The control circuit controls a current value of the first current source based on the monitored period of time such that a slew rate of the voltage drop across the switching element approaches a target value.
