  • Patent number: 10317010
Abstract: A liquefied gas storage tank includes: an inner shell storing a liquefied gas; an outer shell forming a vacuum space between the inner shell and the outer shell; and a fail-safe thermal insulating layer covering an outer side surface of the outer shell. According to this configuration, the fail-safe thermal insulating layer is not disposed in the vacuum space. This makes it possible to suppress the degradation over time of the degree of vacuum in the vacuum space.

  • Patent number: 10259538
Abstract: A liquefied gas tank installed in a surrounding structural body includes: a tank main body in which a liquefied gas is storable, the tank main body including a plurality of planar portions and corner portions between the planar portions, the corner portions having less rigidity than that of the planar portions; a bottom supporting body that supports the tank main body from below the tank main body; and a plurality of side supporting bodies that support the tank main body from side of the tank main body. The tank main body is configured to stand by itself by being supported by the bottom supporting body when the tank main body stores no cargo, and be supported by the bottom supporting body and the side supporting bodies when the liquefied gas is stored in the tank main body.

  • Patent number: 9073151
Abstract: A dissimilar material joint is formed by arranging a plurality of joint segments consecutively in a longitudinal direction. Each joint segment is formed by joining and integrating together a first member, an intermediate member, and a second member by explosive welding. A groove is formed in a joint end face of each joint segment, the joint end face being joined to another one of the segments, the groove spacing apart an end face of the first member and an end face of the second member from each other in a stacking direction. In the dissimilar material joint, the end faces of the respective first members of the joint segments that are adjacent to each other are joined together by welding, and the end faces of the respective second members of the joint segments that are adjacent to each other are joined together by welding.
