  • Patent number: 4444934
Abstract: A heat resistant thermoplastic resin composition improved in working fluidity while keeping the characteristics of aromatic polyether resins such as heat resistance and solvent cracking resistance. This composition comprises 100 parts by weight of an aromatic polyether resin or a mixed resin of an aromatic polyether resin and a styrene resin and 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a polyhydric alcohol fatty acid ester having at least one --OH group. This ester preferably has a molecular weight of at least 200.

  • Patent number: 4439492
Abstract: In injection molding thermoplastic resin compositions containing reinforcing materials and/or fillers, high quality molded articles superior in surface gloss and exhibiting substantially no surface defect can be obtained, by employing a technical measure, in which only superficial layer of the inner wall surface of the mold is selectively heated, by high-frequency induction heating, to a temperature above the heat distortion temperature of the thermoplastic resin composition employed prior to injection molding and cooling and solidifying the resin.

  • Patent number: 4369278
Abstract: A resin composition suitable for injection moulding and having excellent heat resistance, impact resistance and crack resistance, which is composed of polyphenylene ether and rubber-reinforced styrene resin and an amount of volatile matters in the resin having molecular weight of about 300 or less is 5000 ppm or less. This resin composition is prepared by melting and kneading the two resins above in an extruder with a vent under keeping the vent part under reduced pressure.

  • Patent number: 4169186
Abstract: A molding material structure of a thermoplastic resin composition comprising (1) at least one pillar-shaped body made of a bundle of glass fiber filaments and a non-oriented thermoplastic resin and (2) an outer covering layer of an oriented thermoplastic resin compatible with the resin in said inner body is found to produce molded articles in which glass fiber filaments are dispersed uniformly in the resin matrix with longer average length to improve various properties of molded articles, especially impact strength.
