  • Patent number: 4843432
Abstract: An image recording apparatus of this invention includes a microfilm feeder for moving images on a microfilm to a read position; a printer section for forming an image on the microfilm located at the read position on a sheet; a plurality of bin trays for stacking the sheets delivered from the printer section; a sorter for distributing the sheets delivered from the printer section to the bin trays; a case mark detector for detecting a case mark formed in correspondence with a specific one of images of each case on the microfilm; and a CPU for controlling the sorter in accordance with an output from the case mark detector so that different bin trays hold the sheets, on which images of each objective case are formed, in units of cases; and an input unit for inputting a copy set number. The CPU also controls the printer section so as to repeat an operation for sequentially recording the images of each objective case in a predetermined order in units of sets.

  • Patent number: 4675741
Abstract: The image forming apparatus is selectively operable in an automatic original feeding mode and in a manual original setting mode wherein the position at which the original is set for copying is different between the automatic original setting mode and the manual original setting mode. The difference can result in a deviation of the image formed on a copy sheet. The apparatus is provided with an image reader and a scanner for forming an image in accordance with the output of the reader. The apparatus includes a regulator actable on the reader or the scanner to eliminate the deviation on the copy sheet, allowing the deviation in the original setting.

  • Patent number: 4284697
Abstract: In an image formation method of forming an image by modulating an ion flow or charged particles with the aid of a screen having a number of fine passage openings, at least one of the screen and an image reception member is of arcuate cross-section at the modulating position and an image is formed on the screen. One of the screen and the image reception member which is greater in radius is rotated or moved at a higher velocity than the other, thereby modulating the image onto the image reception member.

  • Patent number: 4265198
Abstract: Apparatus for fixing toner images carried on a long footage of continuous web such as rolled paper or folded paper, uniformly but intermittently from end to end of the web. The apparatus includes a heating roller and a second roller and control circuitry. During fixation, the image bearing surface of the web is urged against the heated roller which is rotated to move the web, and during the intermission of fixation, the web is disengaged from the heating roller. Preferably, when the web is urged against the heating roller and/or when the web is disengaged from the heating roller, rotation thereof is stopped and the web is maintained in pressure contact with the stopped heating roller for a predetermined time.

Abstract: A method of fixing toner images carried on a long footage of continuous web such as rolled paper or folded paper, uniformly but intermittently from end to end of the web. During fixation, the image bearing surface of the web is urged against a fixing member such as heated roller or the like and the fixing member is rotated to move the web, and during the intermission of fixation, the web is disengaged from the fixing member. Preferably, when the web is urged against the fixing member and/or when the web is disengaged from the fixing member, rotation of the fixing member is stopped and the web is maintained in pressure contact with the fixing member as it is stopped from rotating.

  • Patent number: 4105444
Abstract: In an electrophotographic method using a screen-like photosensitive medium having a number of fine openings to effect image formation, an air stream directed toward corona discharge means is maintained in the openings of the screen-like photosensitive medium when the corona discharge means, at least during the process of latent image formation, is in operation.

  • Patent number: 4046466
Abstract: An electrophotographic method by the use of a photosensitive screen having a number of tiny openings therein and by modulation of corona ion current, wherein a primary electrostatic latent image is first formed on the screen by application of electrostatic charge in conformity to an original image to be reproduced, thus a secondary electrostatic latent image is formed by modulating corona ion current for a plurality of times by the use of one and the same primary electrostatic latent image, and applying to the screen, alternately with the corona ion modulation, a corona ion current of a polarity capable of eliminating the charge polarity of the modulating corona ion current.
