The at least one skin layer may be formed of a water absorbent material, or may be formed so as to include a surface portion and a water absorbent outer skin adhered to at least a part of the surface portion. According to the ball of the present invention, a ball for competitions that can easily maintain water absorbency is provided while remaining durable even when used for a long time and not requiring man-hours during the manufacturing process.

The method includes steps of (a) inflating a bladder and providing a web layer by coating at least a thread on an outer surface of the bladder thereafter, (b) fabricating a plurality of panels in a predetermined shape, (c) sewing the plurality of panels edge to edge together excluding a portion thereof by a sewing machine to form a ball cover including an inlet opening, (d) inserting the bladder obtained at step (a) into the ball cover obtained at step (c) through the inlet opening, (e) sewing the inlet opening of the ball cover, and (j) inflating the ball for ball game to a predetermined pressure within a shaping mold.

Abstract: A compact portable athletic data display apparatus, comprising a generally rectangular flat display section 3 which is rotatably connected at the lower end thereof with a generally rectangular flat control section 2 by means of hinges, so that the display section 3 may be held at upright position to display the data when it is used but folded onto the control section otherwise. In operation, an operator stands up the display section 3 at the upright position, enter data to be displayed on the display section using data input keys. A monitor may be provided on the control section so that he may check on the monitor the data he has entered for display.

Abstract: There is disclosed a composition for use in the formation of an active light waveguide comprising a fluorinated polyamic acid and an electro-optical material. The active light waveguide is manufactured by subjecting the fluorinated polyamic acid to imide ring closure into a fluorinated polyimide, and orienting the electro-optical material. The active light waveguide fabricated by using the composition for use in the formation of the active light waveguide can provide excellent electro-optical effect. The active light waveguide is extremely thermally stable and suitable to manufacture of electro-optical devices.
