    Abstract: A rotation transmitting device 1 introduces rotation into a vacuum side space 200 via a flexible meshing type gear drive 4 from an atmosphere side space 100. A first spacer 15 is disposed between ball bearings 13 and 14 of a rotation output shaft 5 positioned at the vacuum side, and a magnetic circuit is formed passing from the spacer 15 and through the ball bearing 13, a shaft portion 51 of the rotation output shaft 5 and the ball bearing 14. A magnetic fluid is filled as lubricant for lubricating potions of the ball bearings 13 and 14, which is retained on these portions by magnetic force generated by the magnetic circuit, whereby these portions are always lubricated appropriately. The magnetic fluid retained on these portions captures wear particles or other dust generated from the ball bearings 13 and 14, preventing these particles from leaking out to the vacuum side.

    Abstract: A fuel injector comprises an injector body and an air assisting adapter. The adapter is attached to the injector body and has a fuel passage for guiding spray of injected fuel. The fuel passage is divided into two directions. A plurality of air introduction holes are communicated with the fuel passage, so that pressurized air is introduced into the fuel passage to atomize the injected fuel. The air introduction holes open to the passage at a position where the particle size of the injected fuel starts to reduce. This position is 4 mm to 5 mm away in the downstream direction from an injection port plate of the injector body.

    Abstract: A fuel injection control system for an engine enhances efficiency for charging suctioned air into a cylinder stabilizes a fuel combustion state. An engine intake pipe is provided with an air-assisted injector. Fuel injected by the injector flows into a combustion chamber within the cylinder via an intake valve. An ECU controls the injector drive so that injected fuel flows into the cylinder about 1/3 of the time at the beginning of the valve opening period. This arrangement allows a large amount of fuel supplied into the cylinder to be vaporized quickly and completely before the intake value is closed. At this time, because temperature of air drops due to heat of vaporization of the fuel, weight (density) of air suctioned into the cylinder per unit volume increases, thus enhancing the charging efficiency of suctioned air.

    Abstract: A fuel injection valve, having an injector pipe containing a needle valve therein, an electromagnetic coil for driving the needle valve and a yoke forming a magnetic circuit, intermittently injects fuel fed from the top of the injection valve to an internal combustion engine according to longitudinal movement of the needle valve. The injector pipe is made of a compound magnetic material and formed into a single piece by a drawing process, the single piece including two magnetic portions and a non-magnetic portion interposed between two magnetic portions. The non-magnetic portion intercepts magnetic flux flow between the magnetic portions. The electromagnetic coil is molded by resin together with other components, and the yoke is formed separately. The yoke is mounted on the molded coil from its lateral side, making an assembly including the coil and the yoke. The injector pipe is inserted into a bore formed in the coil, and then the yoke is connected to the injector pipe by welding.

    Abstract: A central member of a sensor unit is inserted through a sensor unit mounting hole of a cylindrical body having a main passage and the sensor unit is assembled on the cylindrical body. The sensor unit comprises the central member which is provided at the center of the main passage and has internally a bypass passage, a flow sensor provided in the bypass passage, a rib which supports the central member, a mounting section which secures the rib to the cylindrical body, an electronic circuit assembled on the rib, and a connector section retaining terminals being connected electrically to the electronic circuit section. Positioning, mounting and securing of the flow sensor can be made simultaneously by a simple process to insert the sensor sensor unit through the hole. Turbulence, eccentricity and others in the upstream air are reduced so that the flow rate of a highly rectified fluid can be measured.

    Abstract: A fuel supply system is composed of a fuel rail, a fuel injection valve and a fuel filter. The fuel injection valve has an electromagnetic solenoid, a valve member, a valve guide member and a valve seat. A plurality of slanted fuel passages are formed in the surface of the valve guide to evacuate bubble from the fuel. The fuel rail is composed of a resinous upper case member and a resinous lower case member. The fuel injection valve is held between the upper and lower case members in the axial direction of the valve. An elastic sheet member is interposed between the upper case member and the fuel injection valve, and an elastic O-ring is disposed around the fuel injection valve to reduce stress applied to the fuel injection valve in installing the fuel rail to an engine.
