Patent number: 7231697Abstract: A synthetic-resin-made linear slide fastener has a top end stop and a bottom end stop. A coil-like or zigzag-like linear fastener element row (3) of synthetic resin is mounted on a side edge of a fastener tape (4), and then a rod-like body (6) is inserted into a coupling space portion (13) in a rear side of coupling heads (10) of plural fastener elements at a terminal end of the fastener element row (3) and attached thereto. Alternatively, a curved sheet-like body (7) is attached such that the sheet-like body surrounds and covers surfaces of the coupling heads (10), leg portions (11) and connecting portions (12) and thereafter, the rod-like body or the sheet-like body is fused with fastener elements (3) by ultrasonic welding so as to form an end stop (14) as the top end stop (15) or the bottom stop end (16).Type: GrantFiled: June 6, 2003Date of Patent: June 19, 2007Assignee: YKK CorporationInventors: Satoshi Takamatsu, Masaaki Fuda, Yukio Taga

Publication number: 20050257350Abstract: This invention provides a synthetic-resin-made linear slide fastener having a top end stop and a bottom end stop, which can be manufactured easily and is of rigid structure and free from burrs. Alternatively, a curved sheet-like body (7) is attached such that the sheet-like body surrounds and covers surfaces of the coupling heads (10), leg portions (11) and connecting portions (12) and thereafter, the rod-like body or the sheet-like body is fused with fastener elements (3) by ultrasonic welding so as to form an end stop (14) as the top end stop (15) or the bottom stop end (16) having an excellent appearance.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 6, 2003Publication date: November 24, 2005Applicant: YKK CorporationInventors: Satoshi Takamatsu, Masaaki Fuda, Yukio Taga

Patent number: 4799611Abstract: A garment-fastener assembling apparatus includes a combined supporting and connecting mechanism composed of a pivot lever rotatably mounted on a frame and pivotably connected at its one end with the cylinder tube of a punch-driving cylinder and at the other end with a first pusher mechanism having a first pusher, and a spring-biased slide rod slidably mounted on the frame and having one end pivoted to the pivot lever adjacent to the cylinder tube. The slide rod is normally urged such that during a portion of the movement of the piston rod from the cylinder tube adjacent to the fully retracted position of the piston rod, the pivot lever operates the first pusher mechanism to retract and advance the first pusher. With the combined mechanism thus constructed, a punch and the first pusher can be driven in an accurate timed relation to one another.Type: GrantFiled: August 5, 1987Date of Patent: January 24, 1989Assignee: Yoshida Kogyo K. K.Inventor: Yukio Taga

Patent number: 4698905Abstract: A fastener-assembling apparatus has a safety device including a vertically movably safe-confirmation member which is normally disposed in its lowermost position in which the gap between the safe-confirmation member and a die is substantially equal to the thickness of a garment fabric. In its lowermost position, the safe-confirmation member maintains a limit switch closed to continue a power supply to a drive for a punch. When the operator's finger or a tool is inadvertently inserted into the gap between the safe-confirmation member and the die, the safe-confirmation member is raised to open the limit switch to discontinue the power supply to the punch.Type: GrantFiled: July 10, 1986Date of Patent: October 13, 1987Assignee: Yoshida Kogyo K. K.Inventor: Yukio Taga

Patent number: 4645110Abstract: In a garment-fastener-assembling apparatus, a drive mechanism for moving an upper or punch unit toward and away from a lower or die unit includes an air cylinder having a piston rod, and a toggle joint for transferring reciprocating motion from the piston rod to a punch of the upper unit as the toggle joint is contracted and extended. A contact member is mounted on the toggle joint so as to actuate a limit switch when the toggle joint is fully extended to a predetermined extent. The limit switch, upon actuation, produces an electrical signal for de-energizing the air cylinder to terminate the extension of the piston rod.Type: GrantFiled: August 19, 1985Date of Patent: February 24, 1987Assignee: Nippon Notion Kogyo Co., Ltd.Inventor: Yukio Taga

Patent number: 4628842Abstract: A button attaching machine has a chute assembly for conveying button parts and a blocking device for preventing button parts from falling from a detachable intermediate chute of the chute assembly when the intermediate chute is detached. The blocking device comprises a spring-loaded plunger supported by the intermediate chute adjacent to a lower end thereof and reciprocably movable in a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the intermediate chute. The plunger is normally held in engagement with a lower chute to retract away from a button-parts guide channel of the chute assembly, and upon detachment of the intermediate chute, it is movable into a blocking position where it is disposed below the channel and spaced from the lower end of the intermediate chute by a distance which is small enough to block the passage of the button parts.Type: GrantFiled: March 19, 1986Date of Patent: December 16, 1986Assignee: Yoshida Kogyo K.K.Inventor: Yukio Taga

Patent number: 4618053Abstract: A mechanism, for delivering two different kinds of fastener elements to a fastener-assembling apparatus, comprises a pair of hoppers for containing the two different fastener elements separately, and a pair of pick-up plates pivotally and vertically movable in the respective hoppers for picking up the fastener elements therein to deliver the same to a pair of separate chutes. The two pick-up plates are driven by a single drive, such as an air-cylinder or oil-cylinder.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 1984Date of Patent: October 21, 1986Assignee: Nippon Notion Kogyo Co., Ltd.Inventor: Yukio Taga

Patent number: 4615473Abstract: An apparatus, for assembling a pair of fastener elements of a garment fastener, including a lower or die unit having a retainer which is disposed immediately upstream of a die and which is vertically movable between a retracted position in which an upper end portion of the retainer is retracted below a top of the die to allow one fastener element to be supplied onto the die, and a projected position in which the upper end portion of the retainer projects from the top of the die to engage a peripheral edge of the head of the fastener element to thereby prevent the latter from being displaced on the die.Type: GrantFiled: December 28, 1984Date of Patent: October 7, 1986Assignee: Nippon Notion Kogyo Co., Ltd.Inventor: Yukio Taga
