  • Patent number: 8361650
Abstract: [Problems] A sealing gasket for an alkaline dry cell formed from a 6-12 nylon resin by injection molding, which is inhibited from cracking that occurs at inserting a current collector through a central boss portion of a gasket and thereby reliably reduces occurrence of liquid leakage while retaining the advantages due to the use of the 6-12 nylon resin. [Means for Solving the Problems] A polyhexamethylene dodecamide resin is used as a resin material of injection molding, and one part or the whole of the same kind of recycled material which was once used in injection molding is used as the resin material of a section including at least the boss portion.

  • Patent number: 6631544
Abstract: To develop a method for installing an end member to a hollow shaft member for an office equipment in which a high degree of coaxiality and a high degree of vertical state can be attained, its manufacturing stages are simple and they can be realized under a less-expensive cost. The present invention is constituted by the steps comprising (1) using a hollow shaft member made of soft metal; (2) inserting the end member made of hard metal formed with a fitting groove satisfying some requirements into the hollow shaft; (3) forming round holes at the central part of each of the split dies and preparing a molding machine having more than three pressing members toward the center of each of the round holes; and (4) installing the end member to the shaft member with the pressing force of the pressing member.

  • Patent number: 6422948
Abstract: A structure of shaft member has been developed in which the shaft member is made to be hollow to reduce its weight, installation into a ball bearing or a paper feed roller can be easily carried out and then an appropriate coupling of force can be attained between it and the objective member, wherein the shaft member 1 of the present invention relates to the hollow shaft member of metallic material in which it is fitted to the objective member having holes of bearing 2 and the like therein, its circular sectional plane is divided into three or more outer arcs mi (1,2,3 . . . ) and three or more inverse directed inner arcs ni (1, 2, 3 . . . ) are formed among the outer arcs, the hollow member is inserted into the objective member with the outer arcs and the inner arcs being compressed inwardly and deformed, and the objective member and the shaft member are coupled to each other by a resilient restitution force generated under said compression and deformation in order to satisfy a certain condition.

  • Patent number: 5429574
Abstract: A hollow shaft tube and shaft member with functional members like a paper feed roller for business machines etc., and its manufacturing method. The shaft tube has a bulge and dent, thereon a functional member to be fixedly secured. The bulges and dents having spring effect are formed symmetrically concerning the shaft tube center axis. The shaft and the functional members are fixedly secured by the spring effect. The shaft tube is made with half molds, having punchs in holes of both halves. The punchs hit the tube set in the molds to form the bulge and dent. The shaft tube is pressed in the functional member, using a press-in tool, to construct the shaft member.

  • Patent number: 4967462
Abstract: A method of manufacturing an integrated light-weight solid metal shaft for use in a business machine by the steps of subjecting to acid treatment an inner periphery of a seam welded outer metal pipe having high hardness, subject to alkali cleaning an external periphery of an inner cylindrical member such as a solid cylindrical bar or pipe, having both low hardness and weight, inserting the inner cylindrical member into the outer metal pipe, cold drawing forcedly the thus assembled outer metal pipe and inner cylindrical members through a reducing die in order to wrinkle the inner periphery of the outer metal pipe and then integrate tightly the solid cylindrical bar onto the wrinkled inner periphery of the outer metal pipe through plastic deformation of the outer metal pipe and the solid cylindrical bar, internal pressure between the outer metal pipe and the inner cylindrical member and internal heat in the outer metal pipe and the inner cylindrical member caused by plastic deformation.
