  • Patent number: 10996153
Abstract: The present invention relates to a corrosion-fatigue-coupled test method and device for a steel bridge deck. The method includes: 1) installing an orthotropic steel bridge deck (OSBD) and pasting filter paper; 2) installing a sodium chloride solution delivery pipe; 3) installing an infrared (IR) lamp; 4) preparing a corrosive solution; 5) coupling corrosion and fatigue; and 6) acquiring test data. A device constructed by using the method includes a to-be-tested OSBD, a support device, a pressure pump, a water tank, a monitoring device, an IR lamp, a plastic water pipe, a thermostat and a rotary sprayer. The present invention solves the problem of laboratory accelerated corrosion of the OSBD. The present invention fully considers a coupling effect of a corrosive medium and an alternating stress, so that the created simulation environment is close to a service environment of the OSBD, and the test data are effective and reliable.

  • Patent number: 8515939
Abstract: A system for facilitating rule-based content mining to extract content from structured or unstructured data receives a file that contains structured or unstructured data, or a mixture of both. The system then generates a processable extensible markup language (pXML) file based on the received file. The system further extracts content from the pXML file based on one or more rules and generates a semantic XML file based on a specified format.

  • Patent number: 8151183
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a system for facilitating a universal file conversion hub to convert structured or unstructured data to structured data suitable for display on mobile or hand-held devices. During operation, the system receives a file which contains structured or unstructured data, or a mixture of both. The system determines a type of the received file and analyzes content, formatting style, or both, of the received file based on the file type. The system further generates a processable extensible markup language file, which substantially retains a layout of the received file, thereby facilitating display of the file on mobile or hand-held devices.

  • Publication number: 20110219319
Abstract: One embodiment of the present invention provides a computer-implemented user interface for facilitating a query process. The user interface includes a display mechanism configured to display content to a user. The user interface also includes a selection mechanism configured to allow the user to select at least one displayed area. In addition, the user interface includes a content-analysis mechanism configured to analyze the content in a respective selected displayed area. Moreover, the user interface includes an attribute-retrieval mechanism configured to retrieve one or more attributes associated with the selected displayed area based on the content analysis. The user interface further includes an attribute selection mechanism configured allow the user to select one or more attributes. Furthermore, the user interface includes a query mechanism configured to issue a query based on the selected attributes without the user inputting characters for the query.
