Abstract: Provided is a technique for more accurately ascertaining a person's status. In particular, the present invention makes it possible to accurately ascertain the detection of alcohol or the like. A fluctuation waveform of an ultra-low-frequency band is found from a biosignal collected from a biosignal measuring means, the fluctuation waveform is plotted as coordinate points on a four-quadrant coordinate system on the basis of a predetermined standard, and biological status is estimated on the basis of temporal change in the coordinate points. According to the method of the present invention for plotting a fluctuation waveform as coordinate points on a four-quadrant coordinate system on the basis of the predetermined standard, change in the fluctuation waveform of the ultra-low-frequency band can be expanded or highlighted and thus perceived, and therefore the present invention is adapted for more accurately perceiving change in a person's status.

  • Patent number: 8900378
Abstract: A structural material is provided, the strength and toughness of which are well-balanced at a high level, suitable in particular for seat frames in automobiles, aircrafts and the like. Specifically disclosed is a structural material produced by integrally joining thin steel members in a part thereof and, after joining, thermally heating a part thereof so that the heat-treated part differs from the other parts in strength and toughness. Unlike a structural material, the strength of which as a whole has been uniformly improved by heat treatment, the above-described structural material consists of a part having a high strength and a part having low strength. Thus, a structural material, the strength and toughness of which are well-balanced at a high level can be obtained. Since the strength and toughness are well-balanced at a high level, the structural material is suitable particularly for seat frames in automobiles, aircrafts and the like.

  • Publication number: 20140339878
Abstract: A base net for a back is formed from a three-dimensional stereoscopic knit, and has a configuration in which seams for bringing a pair of ground knitted fabrics thereof to close to each other in a thickness direction are partially provided, predetermined preliminary compression is applied in the thickness direction by the seams, and thereby residual stress is generated in a surface direction (stretching direction). Therefore, stiffness is partially increased by partial improvement in residual stress, and consequently a human body with extreme roughness is supported by nearly uniform pressure. Thus, in spite of a simple configuration in which the seams are provided in desired regions, posture supportiveness and body pressure dispersiveness can be improved. Further, by arbitrarily adjusting the formation positions of the seams, the pressure distribution is adjusted, thereby making it possible to easily control the vibration mode to desired setting, and easily improve vibration absorbency.

  • Publication number: 20140317931
Abstract: A predetermined component such as a recliner is attached to a long member in advance, and thereafter by bending the long member, a pair of side frames and an upper frame are integrally formed. Therefore, the recliner can be attached to the long member not bent yet and thus in a substantially flat state, and in addition, the pair of side frames and the upper frame can be integrally formed, which does not require labor and contributes to a reduction in manufacturing cost. Moreover, by adjusting a position where the bending is performed, it is possible to manufacture seat frame structures different in dimension even if the long members not bent yet have the same length, and from this viewpoint as well, it is possible to reduce labor and manufacturing cost.

  • Publication number: 20140001814
Abstract: A cushion member includes an intermediate layer, and an upper layer and lower layer stacked and fixed thereto. The cushion member is fixed to a frame by bending an end part of the cushion member so that the upper layer comes to the front side and the lower layer comes to the back side. The intermediate layer is subjected to shear force and the upper layer and the lower layer are subjected to compressive and tensile stress. With the spring characteristic of the intermediate layer, residual stress of the tension and compression is applied to the upper and lower layers from the intermediate layer. Thus, the cushion member can have a restoring property, generation of creases during no load application can be reduced, permanent setting is made less likely, and a compression characteristic in the thickness direction is increased.

  • Patent number: 8592020
Abstract: To achieve further weight reduction and thinning of a seat structure. A configuration in which a side frame cover 212 composed of a laminated body 1 provided with a planar member made of cloth and planar members made of synthetic resin laminated on both sides of the planar member made of cloth via adhesive agent and formed in a predetermined shape is joined to a side frame base body 211 composed of a metal member is obtained. Therefore, the thickness of the metal member used can be reduced by an amount corresponding to a strength the laminated body compensates for, which results in achievement of further weight reduction from a conventional structural member composed of only metal members that are used at the same site. Further, when an impact force is applied, the impact force can be consumed as a force that causes delamination of the laminated body from the metal member at a portion where they are joined via the adhesive agent.

  • Patent number: 8528982
Abstract: A seat has a configuration in which, in each side frame of a cushion frame, an inner frame and an outer frame which have flanges extending along peripheral edges thereof are faced to each other with a space therebetween at least partially, and the flanges are fixed by hemming process along the entire peripheral edges thereof. Since the entire peripheral edges are hemmed, the inner frame and the outer frame are securely fixed. Additionally, since the inner frame and the outer frame which are thin-plate-shaped are used, reduction in weight of each side frame can be achieved. Further, since the inner frame and the outer frame are faced to each other with a space therebetween at least partially, a compressive/tensile strength required as a side frame can be secured by inserting an expanded bead body into the space.

  • Publication number: 20130225940
Abstract: A technique for grasping a state of a human being. The technique determines a time-series waveform of a frequency from a time-series waveform of a biological signal acquired from an upper body of a human being, and determines time-series waveforms of a frequency slope and frequency variation to analyze these frequencies. Upon analyzing the frequencies, it determines power spectrums of frequencies corresponding to a preset functional adjustment signal, fatigue reception signal, and activity adjustment signal, and then determines a state of the human being from a time-series change in each power spectrum. Dominant degrees of the functional adjustment signal and activity adjustment signal are compared as distribution rates thereof, in addition to a degree of progress of fatigue, to determine a state of the human being, for example a relaxed state, fatigued state, prominent state of sympathetic nervous, prominent state of parasympathetic nervous.

  • Patent number: 8376456
Abstract: To achieve further weight reduction and thinning of a seat structure. A laminated body obtained by sandwiching a planar member 4 made of cloth between planar members 2 and 3 made of synthetic resin to join them to one another via adhesive agent is used in a shell type frame member of the seat structure. Upon receipt of an impact, delamination is caused between the respective layers configuring the laminated body. Thereby, both the tensile stress and the Izod impact strength of the laminated body are lowered as compared with those of a homogeneous laminated body obtained by joining planer members made of homogeneous materials. That is, impact energy is converted to a force causing delamination between the planar members in the laminated body to be consumed, thereby absorbing the impact energy. Since the shell type frame member itself can absorb the impact, further weight reduction and thinning of the shell type frame member and a seat structure using the same can be achieved.
