Abstract: An original image is displayed on a display screen. Here, when a sub-screen input mode is set, a sub-screen that is obtained by reducing an entire screen displayed on the display screen is displayed on an image display portion. The user uses an electronic pen to select an optional input area within the sub-screen. An area corresponding to the selected input area is displayed on the entire screen. At this timer, the reduced image of the entire screen is switched to an image of the input area on the sub-screen. Then, the user uses the electronic pen to perform an editing work on the sub-screen. The sub-screen is set within reach of the user, and editing on an area out of reach on the entire screen can be also performed on the sub-screen.

Abstract: An electronic device includes an authentication portion for performing user authentication according to an authentication request including the user information that is sent together with image data from a client terminal; an output state determination portion for determining an output state of an image for the image data depending on the user information in a case where the user authentication is successfully performed; a preview image generation portion for generating a preview image corresponding to the output state; and a sending portion for sending to the terminal a result of the user authentication to which the preview image is added only in a case where the user authentication is successfully performed. A preview display portion displays an execution button for instructing the electronic device to execute image output together with the preview image.

Abstract: A terminal transmits user information, user information and function setting information used in the electronic device, or output data including user information and function setting information to the server. The server reads out limit function information/alternative function information each of which is correlated to the transmitted user information, and transmits the above information as it is, or transmits the information by changing a part of the function setting information in the output data, that corresponds to the limit function information, into the alternative function information, or transmits the output data thus changed, to the terminal. The terminal generates and displays a preview image of output data based on the transmitted information.

Abstract: An information display device having a large display screen that facilitates input/edit to a position away from the operation position of a user is provided. This information display device is equipped with a touch sensor on a display screen to enable an operation for screen display through a touch operation on the screen, equally divides the screen horizontally and vertically, sets a sub-screen area that displays a divided image of an image displayed on the screen, and transforms a touch operation position in the sub-screen area into a position on the display screen to replace a touch operation in the sub-screen area with an operation of the screen display on the display screen for enabling a remote operation.

Abstract: An information processing apparatus 30 obtains a summary document including summary image information obtained by reducing image information stored in a server 20 (step S152) and displays the summary image information or the like included in the summary document (step S153). When a receiving instruction of image information corresponding to the summary image information is inputted by the user who recognizes the summary image information (YES in step S154), the image information is received from the server 20 (step S159). By such processings, an image information distributing method, an image information distributing system, a central apparatus, a terminal apparatus, a scanner apparatus, and a computer memory product capable of transmitting only image information required by the user and preventing traffic of a transmission path from increasing are realized.
