Abstract: According to one embodiment, a classification apparatus includes the following elements. The target log extraction unit extracts a set of dialogue logs for a dialogue from dialogue logs for dialogues between a user and an interactive system, the dialogue including a first speech and a second speech of the user, the set of dialogue logs including information indicative of a classification used for a search performed by the interactive system based on the first speech, information indicative of a failure in the first search, and data acquired as a result of a search performed by the interactive system based on the second speech. The classification relation generator generates a classification relation in which the classification is associated with the data.

Abstract: According to one embodiment, a dialog corpus collecting apparatus includes an assigning unit, an extractor, and a controller. The assigning unit assigns a worker to a second role in accordance with the execution state with respect to a task in which a worker is assigned to a first role. The extractor extracts current candidate responses in reply to a choice that the second role made from past candidate responses with respect to a task including an input from the first role. The controller collects the task information, the input from the first role, and the choice that the second role makes from the current candidate responses as a dialog corpus in association with one another.

Abstract: A database management apparatus which manages a database having a hierarchical classification structure is described. In the hierarchical classification structure, a lower classification inherits a property of an upper classification that defines a plurality of properties. The apparatus includes a setting unit configured to set a typical property set. The typical property set includes at least one of selective properties each selected from the properties defined in the upper classification. All of the selective properties are inherited by the lower classification. The apparatus also includes a storage which stores the typical property set in association with the hierarchical classification structure.
